Rockport Cobb Hill Women's Penelope Mary Jane

The shoes were fine, leather was nice, but the 'Mary Jane' look on these misses. So rather than being cute on my foot they looked a tad frumpy. The bottoms were comfy and well made.I wanted to wear them to show off my hand knit socks, but the gathered area behind the toes was pressed so hard on my foot that it puffed the sock out and hurt my foot.I would have kept them for comfort if they worked with thinner socks, but they didn't fit even with stocking thin socks.

Have moved to a mary jane style of shoe due to foot (lisfranc fracture) and knee (torn acl) issues. Need a stable, low heel shoe, suitable to wear in a professional work environment. This is the fourth pair of Cobb Hill shoes I have purchased.Love the look and the fit but not the strap. It has come loose twice while wearing. Once, almost sending me down a flight of stairs. I decided that they will stay in the office and I will wear them at my desk. Away from any possible mishap. Most disappointed.

I have a standing desk at work and wanted a shoe that I could stand in comfortably as well as walk around in. This shoe is comfortable and I can walk around in at all day. The only issue is that I tend to wear my shoes in the summer without socks and I have a corn at the bottom of my foot that burns like crazy after standing in these all day. It does it in other shoes as well. you might consider wearing a light sock with these espcially if you plan on walking around alot.

I love Cobb Hill shoes. I teach on a hard tile floor and this brand keeps my foot comfortable all day. I purchase this style at a mall store a year ago and loved it. When I tried them I got an 8.5 and they felt great; I usually wear an 8.5. I was wearing them with tights or very thin socks, but I just think over time the leather stretched and they are a bit loose. So I opted for the 8 this time and they are a big snug now, and I wore them for a day and they are still snug, but my foot did not feel sore. Every pair of Cobb Hill has been great for me; I wish New Balance would make a few styles that are more dressy with a higher heel--like a simple pump without too much detail.

Was looking forward to trying a pair of Cobb Hill shoes as they are made by New Balance. Though the shoes are nice, the shoes did not fit me. It could be they run a little short, and I should have gone up a size but it was too late for me to exchange without having to pay the return charges. Am keeping the shoes to wear when I don't have to do much walking or wear with thin socks.

These shoes have a roomy toe box, no heel slippage and a padded insole with some arch support. The 10M was a perfect fit for my slightly wide feet. I wear them but not for too long/can't do a lot of walking in them as they have a hardness to them that gets tiring after a while. Not sure if it's the leather or the sole...or that I'm just too used to the softness of Skecher's Go Walk shoes.

I love the shoes for comfort. I had bought a brown pair at a DSW and loved them so much I wanted a black pair. However, the velcro on the black pair doesn't hold as well. I'm so disappointed. I'm going to have to take them to a show repair store to see if they can put stronger velcro or a snap instead.

Good comfortable fit right out of the box and without any break-in period or need to wear socks. Velcro so far has been strong, unlike some of the problems other reviewers experienced. I've only been wearing them about a month, but they seem to be a good solid shoe so far and it's nice to have a sensible shoe that is also cute.
