PapoMutant Castle, Multi, (60052)

So easy to put together. A younger child can do it alone. Great quality! Size is large which is perfect for play. Only negative is once you build it, it’s hard to move without the pieces them moving out of place but again it’s easy to put back together and take apart for storage.

Some reviews have complained about lack of sturdiness; my simple solution is to "crazy glue" each wall unit, rampart (walkway) and support brackets together. Castle can still be taken apart and boxed when desired and is much easier for a child to put together by themselves. Drawbridge/gate pieces can also be pre-assembled. UPDATE: this is my 2nd castle...review based upon previous experience; just opened box received thru Amazon Warehouse. Carton is missing 16 or 18 components and 1 large tower is in pieces!

Ok. I've got a number of wooden castles by Papo and others and I'd say that this is typical of the breed. I love the graphics. I love that the large towers have plenty of room for figures. As with some of the other wooden castles I own, the hooked tab and slot assembly leaves it a bit wobbly. However, if it screwed together for a more solid fit, it would be much more difficult to store when not in use. As it is, it can be easily stored in the original box. The "working drawbridge" works, but only after a fashion. It does go up and down, but it will not stay up. I am going to have to modify it so that it does.I bought it to use with figures of my own, but many buyers will be disappointed to find that it does not come with all the items in the picture. You get the entire castle with ONE flag and no figures. If you are going to buy this as a gift for a child, you will want to make sure that the child has figures to put into it. Without figures, there won't be very much play value to it.All in all, I do like it.

The product came with broken pieces. It was a birthday gift for an autistic child and was unable to be gifted.

Very overpriced. Doesn’t include any figures pictured in the ad OR on the box pictures. We were very disappointed upon opening knowing nothing came with it. Not recommended.

First of all I must say that I have bought several Papo's dinosaurs, dragons, animals, knights and mutants, and I am very happy with its quality and attention to detail.However, this is not the case with the Mutant Castle, when I open it four of its walls were damage, the joints were broken and I had to glued them.Overall the castle feels frail and easy to damage. Once ensemble it feels loose and not solid enough to withstand the harsh treatment kids give to their toys.Even its appearance is better on picture, for example the picture of the box has three flags, but mine came with only one. I checked the manual to see if there were missing parts but the manual details that it includes only one flag. So the picture of the product is misleading.Considering its high price and low quality I would not recommend buying this toy for your kids.
