While the magnetic function still works whatever mechanics inside that make it spin has finally given out. I used to call it Mr. Dead or Alive because you spin me right round baby, right round, like a record! All and all it was totally worth it for 17 bucks, I might just go ahead and buy the same one to replace it. I will say one critique is the torque/power it had to get the bar spinning. Standard and slightly thicker liquids and what not no problem at all, but the few times I had to mix something a bit more viscous (Think cold maple syrup out of the fridge) I had to do a bit of tinkering (Things like manually shaking the container to get it moving, or turning the unit on and off while the bar was synced to the plate, to give it that slight extra boost of turn power) to finally get through the initial few rotations before it picked up steam and stayed spinning consistently...but all and all great product and value. I bought it to boost my yeast cultures for home brewing wines, and it does a great job. It's very quiet and easy to use, it is also pretty easy to keep clean. It's not very large so it's easy to store, and it's proven to be pretty durable so far. Very happy with this purchase, would order again! ## Frequently Bought Together - ANZESER Magnetic Stirrer w/Stir Bar, 3000RPM Magnetic Stir Plate, (No Heating) Stir Plate Max Capacity 3000mL Magnetic Mixer - Weewooday 8 Pieces PTFE Magnetic Mixer Stirrer Bar, White Color Stainless Steel Laboratory PTFE Stir Plate Bar, Mixing Plate Magnet Stick (30 mm/ 1.18 Inch) - joaoxoko Magnetic Stir Bars,10 Pcs PTFE Magnetic Stirrer Mixer Stir Bar, 20 mm/ 0.8 Inch White Laboratory Stirrer Mixer Bar (10) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.lk/products/91771026-magnetic-stirrer-compact-round-simple-design-magnetic-stir-plate](https://www.desertcart.lk/products/91771026-magnetic-stirrer-compact-round-simple-design-magnetic-stir-plate) --- *Product available on Desertcart Sri Lanka* *Store origin: LK* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
