Life saver for our high ceilings over the stairs
This was amazing, we attached to a long poll that it screwed into, stood over the balister and used it to neatly cut in our high ceiling wall area over the staircase, make sure to cover your stairs if your doing as there may be drips. We dipped it into our paint and scraped the edge so it wasn't too saturated, there's a small gap in between the plastic edge and the sponge, don't allow any paint on this or it will touch your ceiling, for us novices it was a one chance situation cause our ceilings are so high, we didn't make a single mistake. You may want to apply a thin layer or paint with a brush onto the sponge for control, place the sponge on the wall about an inch lower than where you want it then slide up into place, we then dragged across till the paint ran out and repeated till we had a nice cut in edge, we then used a roller on a poll for the rest. It's time consuming to use this and puts pressure on the shoulders so I don't recommend doing the whole wall with it, it's also not a consistent flow of paint so I feel using on the whole wall would be splotchy but for cutting in neatly all the way, this is your tool and we honestly couldn't have done without it.Yes I recommend and would buy again.

Beats a roller any day!
I prefer using a paint pad to a roller but can be hard to find replacement pads to fit existing heads, so that can mean buying a complete new pad. This one is similar quality to others I've used, the handle angle adjustable although I experienced difficulty in doing that, but eventually found the 'knack'. The pad itself cleaned easily and can be used again. As with other makes of paint pads, the finished result is far smoother than with a roller and as I bought a replacement pad at the same time I'm set up for several bouts of diy!

Brilliant item , will def buy again !
So I’ve never used a paint pad , always rollers . But due to painting a room where the carpet (very light coloured ) was already down I was worried about the mess of a roller so gave this a whirl. So easy to use , uses less paint and much less effort ! This one is great as not too cheap that it’s rubbish and not too expensive ! I’ll be buying another for the next DIY project , highly recommend , great item!

A good brush is a lot easier and neater!
I found it very fiddly and difficult to use. Hard to load it up properly, as it kept either dripping from being too saturated, or not covering as it wasn't saturated enough! Ended up using the brush to load it, then realised it would be easier just to use the brush on the wall and bypass the pad completely! The handle also doesn't lock in place, so if you are using it at an angle, it doesn't stay on the wall, which is quite irritating. I found it really difficult to get any kind of consistent coverage by hand, and can only imagine that it would be worse if you tried to use it with an extension, as the pressure would likely flip it over anyway. The only good point was the relative lack of spray as compared to a roller, and the possibility of getting a neat edge without too much effort, but even with the edging I found the brush easier and quicker.

Utter rubbish went straight in the bin!
I purchased this item as I thought it would help me get a nice straight edge when painting walls up to the ceiling rather than using a brush to cut in as I normally would but this takes allot of time, oh how I was wrong! All this pad did was scratch my ceiling that I’d spent hours painting first as the plastic base sits higher than the pad so when you pull the pad along the plastic edge digs into the ceiling causing scratches and leaves a gap where the pad doesn’t meet the edge!!! The paint coverage wasn’t even, very streaky and it took ages to clean as most of the paint stays in the pad rather than on your wall! Waste of money, time and effort. Went back to using a decent brush and being patient. Binned it as used it after the return date had expired. Don’t waste your money!

Great product for cutting in high ceiling
Saved myself an absolute fortune by using this on an extension pole for cutting in the walls on very high hallway. Used a paint brush to paint the pad with a decent layer of paint, making sure only to coat the pad. Still needed a roller to do the walls as found that worked better but for the cutting in it did a great job. Think I’m going to use this for cutting in from now on (as an amateur painter found much easier than paint brush or masking tape).

Rubbish for a lot of money.
This paint pad is really basic and certainly not worth the money. The worst part is the sharp points and edges which are really painful. I have been out and bought one at a fraction of the price and much better. Would have returned it but have now used it. Goes in the bin now.

Pleasantly surprised!
I have very high ceilings in my flat so I needed something that would make it easier to paint the walls, without getting any paint on the ceiling. I was so impressed with this tool I ended up painting the whole room with it. I'm not great at DIY, but even I managed to get a smooth finish and it's much better than a roller. You just need to remember to wipe the edges constantly or the paint will still get on the ceiling.Taken one star off as it is quite flimsy and I don't think it'll last long. But still very happy with the purchase.
