What immediately drew me in was the fact that it’s made using the Swiss Water Process, which is a chemical-free method of decaffeination. Knowing that no harsh chemicals were used to strip the caffeine made me feel so much better about my choice. From the moment I opened the bag, I was hit with a rich, fresh coffee aroma — something you don’t always get with decaf. Once brewed, the flavor was smooth, full-bodied, and incredibly satisfying. I picked up on subtle chocolate and nutty notes, and honestly, if you didn’t tell me it was decaf, I never would have guessed! One thing I did notice is that you may need to use a little extra coffee per cup if you like a stronger, bolder flavor. The standard coffee-to-water ratio produced a slightly lighter brew than I expected, but increasing the amount of grounds a bit brought out an even richer, more robust flavor. Totally worth it! Another huge plus for me is that it’s certified organic. I try to avoid unnecessary chemicals in my food and drinks, so it’s a relief knowing that I’m drinking pure, high-quality coffee without any compromise on taste. Perfect shot every time! Good flavor, solid roast level for espresso! Nice to make an Americano in the evening without being wide awake all night. It’s a subscribe and save item and every bag has been fresh and the same quality! Good value to keep showing up every couple of weeks!

I've gone through almost the whole bag and I've had no acid reflux from this coffee like I have from other decaf coffees. Granted it is a little bitter but, it's a nice decaf coffee. I now add in a little pure honey and it tastes great. about 1/8 tsp or less of honey compared to 1 tsp of sugar. I knock off 1 star as the price has gone up since the first time I bought this. Although it seems that all coffee is getting expensive. A shame, as coffee is the only hot beverage that helps with the phlegm.

These beans give a bold flavor and are a higher quality than the decaf beans I usually find. They were noticeably oily, which to me is a good sign for dark roast, and is very difficult to find as decaf. I feel they are very expertly roasted and do not have the burnt flavor some dark roasts pick up. I have made good pour over and espresso from these coffee beans.

I’ve been searching for decaf dark roast whole beans that make good crema in a doppio espresso. Several beans later, I finally found one! This dark roast whole bean coffee smells wonderful and delivers the crema I’ve been searching for. I grind at a little over 1.5 and use a precision basket. You could see the oil on the beans and in the bag (maybe because it’s a dark roast and they tend to be that way). The taste corresponds to a dark roast. Love that it’s Swiss water decaf because that keeps the caffeine out of the picture. I will definitely be buying again and again for my espressos. I do wish the roast date was on it, but not a big deal as long as it delivers what I expect from my coffee.

This whole bean decaf coffee is strong without being too acidic and gives me a smooth taste. I’ve used Allegro decaf whole beans for several years and have not been disappointed in the brew. It seems to always be fresh.

Overly large packaging bags are full of air. Also, bags have no vacuum port, so coffee was always exposed to air. Taste is okay, but the disappointing packaging shows a disregard for quality IMO. Correction: Bag does have a vac port, just doesn't seem to be used, as the bags appear to be inflated.

Bold decaff "nespresso original" capsules. Will order again less than half the cost of Nespresso.
