It works to keep potato salad cool!
Worked perfect for our outdoor BBQ event! The ice underneath really kept the potato salad coolant the lid kept the flies away too! It is a large enough bowl for gatherings but doesn't necessarily fit into a cooler unless you have a large one. Sturdy and all dishwasher safe.

I've Bought Three
I found this bowl in a hardware store in Michigan years ago. I bought one for my daughter-in-law and one for me. We both use the bowl a lot. I was thrilled when I saw it offered on Amazon and bought a third--this one for my sister.I've used it with the divider and without. Love the ice "compartment" so that salads can stayed chilled. I do wash it my hand and dry it immediately so it doesn't spot. I've never tried the dishwasher. Would I buy another as a gift? YES!

Great looking and useful!
It came packed well, with foam boards around to protect it. Each piece came wrapped in a individual plastic bag. It looks great! Looks like a very nice gift but the box that it comes in is a regular card box ( not with the picture of the product). It is a good size bowl. You can use it for chips or for iced things. The bowl is 6” tall and 9” tall with the lid on. The circumference is 11”. The serving fork and spoon are 7” tall and the widest part is 3” and a 1/2, it has a little part on them that helps it to stay on the side of the bowl. The lid has two opening areas for the spoon and fork to stay. I love that you can separate 4 different things, plus the area in the middle to add any dressing or dip.

I love love my ice serving dish.
I used the ice serving bowl during our family Christmas dinner. The ice server bowl held my pasta salad. I have another ice serving bowl but this one is my favorite. The ice is separated from my food. The ice lasted throughout the dinner. I look forward to ordering another one soon. Also the size is perfect.
