35mm Slide and Film Viewer - Battery Operation, 3X Magnification, LED Lighted Viewing – for 35mm Slides & Film Negatives

I recently sorted old slides from my parents' estate. Not having a carousel slide projector, and not wanting to spend $100s on purchasing one, I took a shot and purchased this little slide viewer. It takes some time to load each slide manually to view and they do get stuck from time to time, but for what I expected it do, it met expectations and allowed me to view all of my slides economically. The brightness was absolutely sufficient as was the picture quality. Liked the fact that it works with USB or batteries. Worked very well for what I needed.

I inherited a few thousand 35 mm slides. I need to go through them to see which ones I want to digitally scan. This product is most economical answer I could find and super simple to use. The screen is bigger than I thought, but still on the small side. Some slides I'm reviewing will have to be scanned and enlarged because I couldn't see the details, but that's ok because I'm kind of on a family picture treasure hunt. It came with a USB plug in or you can use your own batteries so it is convenient to power up. The light is bright enough although sometimes I wish it was a tad brighter. Not a big issue, more of a personal preference. You simply drop the slide in the slot in the top and look at it in the viewer. You then push the button on the side to drop it to the lower tray when done. Super easy. Very low tech and easy. A couple of slides git hung up, but barely jiggling it allowed them to drop through. This is a slide viewer and does not seam like it would be good for trying to look at slides and take pictures with a phone to blow them up. Use a product designed for scanning for that kind of project. This is like a big single view window Viewmaster and worth the price for a project like mine where I am trying to go through slides to see which ones I want to scan.

Worked great out of the box. I was able to use with power or batteries. Pictures came out great. The only minor problem is that some of the slides would get stuck. No damage or anything but it happened more than once, it was released once you pressed the button twice. Overall effective product for viewing old slides.

It worked great and was so simple to use. Press a button to turn it on, put the slide in the slot, look through a nice 4 inch viewing area and then press the eject button to pop out. I think the quality is great, not cheaply made. It’s fun!

The device itself is simple in design and, in theory, easy to use. However, the picture viewing screen is very small and limits the detail you can see in the slide you're viewing. Brightness is adequate and allows for viewing of darker slides. It comes with a USB power cord which can plug into a laptop or PC to operate the backlight, opposed to inserting 4 AA batteries. My main complaint is that is is very difficult to eject the slide from the viewer. Either the design of the ejection system or the button you push to do so doesn't work well and it usually takes several attempts to get the slide out so you can insert a new one. Often I have to pick up the viewer and tilt it downward and tap sharply on the side while pushing the button before the slide comes out and falls into the little tray area. Frankly, I would not buy this again or recommend it. I would look for a projector to view slides even though they are hard to find and more expensive.

It works well but wish it was a bit clearer. Probably the fault of the slides. They're very old!!

These have a very specific single use, but this performs that specific task well. The backlight is bright and the focus quality is good. Just the thing I need to sort out old slides before sending them to get digitized. Includes a USB power cable that works fine, but is a little short. Another foot would have been nice.

Good quality for the price. The only problem for me was the ejection button, sometimes it gets stuck. Otherwise I like it.
