I've had several of these Slime tire compressors, and the motor has never has a problem, and this more recent one seems to be a little more efficient than previously. I like the clip-on tire valve stem connector better than the previous Slime tire inflator that had a screw-on tire valve stem connector, which started to malfunctiion after a number of years. One weak point is the tip of the accessory charge plug tends to unscrew and come loose sometimes, creating a spotty connection, or worse fall off, and I've had to search for it in the console compartment, carrying bag or, in this most recent instance on the floor on the side of my driver's seat, and then screw it back on. I'm thinking of adding a touch of superglue to keep that from happening. I've never had to replace the little fuse inside the plug, so... Although this last time I made sure to tighten it as much as possible manually, and I think a second attempt did sinch it up a bit more--I hope that holds it

This little compressor is great, I have had this for over a year to give it a good test. This works great, you can set the pressure and it stops at the set pressure. It has had no issues even at 0 degrees. I usually warmed it a bit but I can't find any issues with it. I highly recommend this small powerhouse.

I needed to inflate a tire that had 28 psi of pressure. I wanted to get it up to my usual 34psi. The green lever that you have to flip to secure the connector to the valve stem broke on my very first usage. Since the connector would not latch on after it broke, I tried to inflate the tire while holding the connector to the valve stem. The hard plastic pieces dug into my hand and I could not hold it tight enough to inflate the tire. So instead of inflating the tire, it actually caused air to leak out! what started at 28psi went down to 14psi, which is not really drivable because you risk ruining the tire bead or beating up the rim (a replacement rim on my Lexus LS460 is $1,450!). In summary, this product is made very cheaply. It lacks the most basic quality control. Please do not buy this product expecting it to give you peace of mind. It is unreliable out of the box, and you should not waste your hard earned money on it. To add insult to injury, the carrying case that came with the inflator tore the first time I tried to zip it closed. The entire package is astonishingly bad quality. They should not in good conscience sell such poorly designed and manufactured products—especially products that give people a false sense of security. This inflator is liable to leave you stranded.

Excellent product, very practical, it makes your life easier and allows you to drive your car without fear of having low tire pressure. Very easy to use.

This is my second slime inflator. I had a very old one that lasted 12 years. So I bought this one to replace that one.

I bought this compressor when my old one died. The old one was also by Slime and I had been pretty happy with it, which is why I bought another Slime product. This one seems to be "new & improved". Slime changed the valve attachment mechanism from a reliable screw-on type to a lever lock. The lever is made from plastic and the hinge pins snapped off the first time I tried to use it. I drilled a hole through it and reattached it with a machine screw. So far that's working, but who know how long it will be before the lever itself snaps? On top of everything else, the electrical cord is noticeably shorter than on the previous model. It is so short that it will not reach far enough to fill all 4 tires. This model is decidedly inferior to the old one. I will probably end up losing patience with it and junking it. If I do, I will not buy a Slime product as a replacement.
