Already have a pair of F3's, bought the F7 for the rare instance I'm cutting a larger diameter cable. Also wanted to have a backup pair. Have the F3 for about 25 years and still cuts steel cable like cutting thru butter, hoping for the same from the F7. Another reason I bought them was there was a huge mistake on the listed price, bought them as soon as I saw the mistake, an hour later the price was back up to where it should have been. Expected the order to be cancelled but it wasn't. I'm happy with the F7's

I have fought cutting wire rope / steel cable for a long time. this cutter makes a clean cut which makes it easy to install crimp connectors over the cut end.

The good: This thing cuts bike brake and shift housing effortlessly. It feels incredibly sharp and it seems like it will last forever. The bad: At least for spiral brake housing, don't expect this to cut a flawless 90 degree edge in the housing. More often than not, part of the spiral will collapse inwards and will need to be dressed with a grinding wheel or hand file like all other cable cutters require. If you already have a decent cable cutter this isn't going to remove the step of having to dress your housing ends.
