I'm changing an earlier review I said it made my Montero smoke but I put it back in after I lubed and opened it a couple of times, then it worked better than my old one and better than a new one I had bought here later after I thought this one was defective.

Great replacement!
Bought the part because I had an EGR code in 02 Montero Sport. After I replaced it the code was cleared. Definitely a good replacement.

Well built, but doesn't fit.
This is a well built EGR valve however it doesn't not fit my particular Mitsubishi 3000GT even though it's listed as a good fit. Unfortunately Mitsubishi used various types of EGR valves on the 3000 and this valve would most likely fit most of them, but not mine. Worst yet I can't find a valve similar to the one used on my car.

Defective
This part was defective right out of the box. By the time I got the car smogged and fixed the return window was closed and I had to buy another EGR valve. Poor quality control .
