Amazon Basics Quick-Dry Hand Towels - 100% Cotton, 8-Pack, Linen

I got the purple ones. I love the color. I bought these to wash my face with. I got the purple ones because everyone in the house knows they are mom's face wash cloths. They know better than to grab one to wipe something off of the floor, actually they should not touch them ever ! I love how soft they are. I read many reviews, and I am always a bit skeptical, as I believe some are fake. Especially the ones that talk about how scratchy something is when 80% of the reviews comment on the softness. I do like how they soak up enough water to get the cleanser - or the sweat off of my face. But I can hang them on the little hook or towel rack in the shower, and they dry in no time. I dont want a wash cloth so thick and heavy it takes 2 days to dry. I will be buying more of these, and possibly some hand towels too. Those I am also picky about, they must be able to soak up the water when you dry your hands. I hate cheap towels that can not handle the one job I purchase them for. I also washed them as soon as they arrived and did not notice hardly any purple in the lint trap. The rest of the towels are mainly white. If they had given off a lot of lint, I would have noticed.

I am really pleased with the Amazon Basics jersey knit sheets that I have, so when we needed some towels I thought I would see if Amazon had some in their house brand. All of us (mom, husband and I) dislike hotel-style fluffy towels. We like ones that are a little bit scratchy- beach towels are better than plush towels. Plush towels aren't as absorbent and I always feel slimy after using them. These towels are kind of a strange hybrid. They are softer, but not super thick. They dry you off as well as a scratchy towel but they are softer to the touch. I bought 3 sets, so a total of 6 towels. Make sure you wash them and run them through the dryer before using them. The amount of dryer lint these created during their first wash was really impressive. Like a Tribble or something. The only minus is that the color options are kind of snooze-worthy. It isn't something I would deduct a star for, but I would much prefer some jewel tones instead of pastels. I don't buy towels too often, but if they came out with better colors, I would absolutely buy more. The size is perfect, they work well, and the price point is great.

I really was surprised by the quality of these towels. They are very soft in comparison to what I was expecting when I saw that they are quick drying towels. I was expecting more of a microfiber material that dries fast, but isn't the best material. It was amazing that the towels were both very soft and dried as quickly as they did. I would say the towel does an excellent job of drying your skin after one pass, which is better than I can say for some more expensive towels. I have not put them through the washer after initial use, so I will update the review if the performance change. This is one of the best towel sets I have ever used, and the everyday price is really good.

I love these towels and purple is my favorite color and the color that’s with my black and white tiles in the bathroom where I like is they are light however dry me well and dry quickly and good quality

These towels are AMAZING! I absolutely love them and will continue to buy Amazon Basics towels from now on! I read through the reviews trying to decide whether to buy these or not. I saw all of the posts about the extra lint and “pieces” of towel in the washer. Thanks to the positive reviews, I went ahead and decided to go with them to try them out. I wash my towels separate from my other laundry. I usually add some vinegar in with the load to help sanitize and soften the fabric. It’s also supposed to help draw out that dye that would bleed otherwise. I washed these towels as soon as they came in. Yes, I did have a lot of extra “lint” in my washer the first time I washed them. They haven’t been a problem afterwards. Yes, the dryer has a lot of lint after drying, but to me, that’s the sign of a good cotton towel. The towels still come out just as soft, fluffy, and thick as they were before! Great quality! So if you’re considering buying these towels, do it. Just remember to wash them by their selves if possible the first couple of times if you do have to combine your laundry together in the wash.

I ORDERED 3 SETS OF THE 3 PIECE SETS OF THESE TOWELS, ON 6-15. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED BETWEEN 6-26 & 6-29. TO MY SURPRISE THEY WERE DELIVERED ON SUNDAY, FATHERS DAY (6 DAYS). I TOOK THEM ALL OUT OF THE PACKAGING & WASHED THEM IN WARM WATER. I THEN DRIED THEM, IN MY DRYER. I HAD TO CLEAN OUT THE LINT FILTER 3 TIMES, BUT THAT IS NORMAL WITH ANY TYPE OF NEW TOWELS. I TOOK THEM OUT OF THE DRYER & TOOK THEM OUT ON MY DECK TO SEE IF ANYMORE LINT WOULD COME OFF. VERY LITTLE CAME OFF, SO I FOLDED THEM & PUT THEM AWAY. THEY ARE AS SOFT & FLUFFY AS ANY TOWEL I'VE BOUGHT BEFORE. THE SETS THEY ARE REPLACING WERE BOUGHT AT WALMART DISCOUNT RACK IN 1997. THE SEAMS CAME APART ON 1 OF THE WALMART BATH TOWELS, SO INSTEAD OF SEWING IT UP, I FIGURED IT WAS TIME FOR A CHANGE. THESE TOWELS WILL FILL THE BILL NICELY. IF THEY LAST AS LONG AS THE WALMART ONES, I PROBABLY WON'T BE AROUND TO SEE THEM REPLACED. I LIKE THAT THEY ARE MADE IN INDIA, & NOT CHINA.

Although they are very soft, so so with absorbing and decent quality they are NOT bath towels as described in title/heading! I searched bath towels and these popped up at a good price and was listed as bath towels! VERY disappointed to get 4 hand towels!! This listing is misleading. I didn’t go into detail of size when reading descriptions to order because a bath towel is a bath towel!! The pic I have included with my review is my dish towel on the left and the hand towel that I received!! It is much more slim and only a tad longer. Just so you have an idea of what size you’ll be getting! I will be returning these since I would never pay $20 for hand towels, I can get them at Ross for $6-8!! I gave it at least 3 star because had I needed hand towels these would great!

Was pleasantly surprised with these at this price. Super soft, extremely absorbent. After the first wash they soften up so much they feel a bit like microfiber cloths. Absorbent enough that they take up a lot of the water in the washing machine. I like the way the edges are bound, as they look like they will stay together well. They are noticeably more absorbent than the super lux 'resort hotel' type towels that cost me $50 each. My criticisms are small but maybe Amazon will read. A few of these arrived with picks in the loops. Simple quality control issue. It wasn't difficult to trim them off, but I would prefer perfect condition on a brand new item. The first dryer cycle they do shed a lot of lint. I think that is pretty much true of all cotton towels but I thought it was worth a mention. Other than that I can't come up with a negative except that the towels should be available as single purchase items just like the washcloths are. If I need a replacement I might not want to buy a whole set.
