Best cat collar tried so far
I have bought several collars to date but this is the most comfortable cat collar so far ( I have tried the plastic buster collars with and without a fabric trim and the fabric sunflower style). It somehow stays very clean but is very easy to handwash (it has a inflatable inner tube which comes out of the cover). The only downside is that where the collar strap clips in can mean that sometimes it slips down around her neck and the collar is hanging lower than it should but it is easy to right. I have to keep this collar on my cat for days at a time because she gets so itchy not from fleas but some other as yet unidentified problem with her skin. I take it off when she eats but it goes straight back on and she is quite comfortable with it.

Good alternative to the "Cone of Shame"
Bought this for our Rhodesian Ridgeback after she was spayed in the summer. We had to go on a long car journey a few days afterwards and the traditional cone is a bit of a nightmare in the car. This worked pretty well, I think she found it more comfy than the plastic cone and it didn't get hooked on things in the car/house. It was also a lot nicer for us - no hard edges digging into our legs! It's pretty much like one of those inflatable travel pillows, but a full ring. Worked well for her abdominal wound, she definitely couldn't get to it.However, on the negative side, our clever doggy cut her paws/wrists trying to jump through a barbed wire fence a few days ago and the wounds needed stapling. Sadly it was no use for this as she could still easily reach her paws. She has really long legs I suppose, so it might work for a shorter dog. For us though, it'll be useful for body wounds, but not any feet ones! Also, quite annoyingly the zip broke immediately we got it out of the packaging and tried to zip it up and inflate it for the very first time. We would've sent it back for a replacement, but we were leaving that day and needed it straight away, so I just ended up stitching it permanently closed. You can blow it up/deflate it without taking the cover off (it's got one of those valves like a swimming arm band that sticks through a hole in the cover) so it works OK but I obviously can't remove & wash the cover now!

Good quality, dog didn't like it much.
I had to tie this onto my dogs harness to keep it on her, she could get it off so easily. However I think that might be because she is a staffy and has a fat neck haha.It was a good quality product, great for when she was recovering from mammary cancer surgery. The sizing is off though, I had to put it on the tightest it could go and it was still a little bit big. Based off the measurements I was worried it might have been a bit tight.Unfortunately my dog didn't enjoy wearing it all that much, she prefers the plastic cone, however we didn't want her running into things like doorframes etc like she usually does in the cone. She just didn't look like she could get that comfortable, she likes tucking her head in which this doesn't allow her to do.It did the job though, she put up with it for 2 weeks and has healed well without being able to reach the wound. Didn't deflate at all, there are straps to feed a collar through it too.

Good.
Our Welsh Springer had surgery on her back end and was given a plastic cone to wear for at least 2 weeks by the vet hospital. After two days she managed to break the cone 4 times finally destroying it. She was uncomfortable and kept hurting our calves when around us. It got caught on everything and her water went everywhere when she went to get a drink as her bowl would tip. Therefore the cone we had been given was completely ineffective and not practical for the 2 weeks she was to wear if for.We have an excitable dog who cannot sit at peace so we needed something durable.I seen this inflatable collar online and despite reviews about the sizing for my type of dog I got it.It was delivered with no pump and is impossible to blow up just by blowing into it. We used a tyre pump which worked well. The neck space is far too big but stays on most of the time if you tighten your dogs own collar and assure it’s threaded through the straps of the cushion. She did manage a few times to get it off so required regular checks. She was however much more comfortable, she was eating and drinking easier, and we weren’t getting hurt in the calves. She kept it on far longer than the plastic one and as we don’t really have an option for anything better we have stuck with this.In all, it is much better than the plastic cones the vets give you and I am happy I got it.Feedback for improvement of this product would be to provide a pump to blow it up and to provide a size between medium and large so that it could fit a spaniel type dog’s neck easier.

Doesn't do the intended job...
My puppy (cavapoo) was getting neutered and I wanted something more comfortable than the cone of shame. The reviews looked good so I was pretty confident it would work - well I was wrong. I quickly discovered that he could still turn and reach the 'bits' (or rather lack of!) bite u needed him not to. It needs to be say 5cm wider and that would be enough to stop your dog being able to reach. Obviously if your using it for a different part of the dogs body it would likely work well. But if you're buying for neutering/spaying then I definitely wouldn't recommend - and be aware it is non refundable.Luckily I did take a cone from the vets which got me through a very long night and have now bought a vest which covers the 'bits' that need covering.Being a puppy he still has the odd accident normally, so although this sounds slightly mad I've put a panty liner inside. This means if he has any accidents it's soaked up and if he tried licking the area it makes the the fabric wet only and it's not against his skin.So yes, although rhis could work well for some reasons, for the aforementioned it unfortunately isn't of any use. It is easy to inflate and is nice and soft, just depends what you need to use it got.Hopefully this review will help someone else making an informed choice
