Very good value and they work.
These are good value. I needed them for pins on a thick bikers leather jacket. I did have to just nip off the sharp ends of the pin as they protruded through the clasp a couple of millimetres. But, they do the job when tightened up. So far, so good.

Great, secure solution for pin-badges
Most badges/pins now have the short pins sticking straight out of the back, rather than the older, more fiddly safety-pin kind of arrangement. That's great, they sit flush against whatever you put them on. However, the backing-pieces for some badges are useless at actually holding it on, especially the rubberised ones. So, these provide a simple, robust solution meaning that you won't lose your precious badges: I've replaced all my backings with these, and it also stops/reduces the amount that the badge can pivot around too.The only, tiny caveat is that, depending on the thickness of the material you have the badge mounted on, there may be a very small amount of the pin protruding from the end of the metal collar. However, they are not that sharp, but if you have badges on a pocket that you use a lot, it's something to be aware of (not an issue for me, as I never use the top pockets on coats, which is where most of mine are). I guess you could move the metal collar closer to the end, to counteract this. One tip too: It's much easier to start the small grub-screw in the metal collar if you first put it on the long end of the hex-key. Then it is easy to align it with the threads on the collar, and screw it in by maybe a turn, to start it off, all using the hex-key to hold the screw. After this, you can put it on the badge-pin and finish locking it on.

I didn't know there was a solution to this problem!
These popped up in my Amazon list apropos nothing, and I couldn't figure out what they were from the picture. Little did I realise they were the solution to a problem I hadn't acknowledged I had, namely, never wearing pin-badges because they had sentimental value and I was scared they would drop off due to flimsy backings. These babies are solid. Once on, a badge is not coming without ripping the fabric or using the allan key provided (or another one). Fantasticly useful things.
