I'm a former amateur dancer. I did ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop in high school and college. There's a reason Capezios are a trusted brand. Since college, I've partner danced socially and now that I'm 40 years old, I have no interest in dancing in heels any longer. Even my short 2.5 inch heels. Retired them. I just want to be comfortable and enjoy the dance to the fullest. I care more about how my body feels in the movement, than how my feet look in the shoes. So I bought these jazz sneakers for salsa and swing dancing. I just tried them on in my house on wood floors and they are as amazing as I remember. I was able to do inside and outside double turns. If my balance were better, I would have been able to easily hit triple and quadruples. They have enough grip to dance around and stop when I want and they are designed for easy turns, keeping the knees safe and helping with balance. I also want to note that they look, feel, and turn better than Fuegos. Fuegos are unisex shoes, so even when they are sized right, they rub the outside of my feet and look like clunky guy shoes on my feet. Almost like clown shoes, since the Fuegos are so wide. That's another reason I opted for Capezios. They look nice on my feet; they are made to fit women's feet so they look more slender and they hug my feet properly without rubbing; and they allow me to point and turn. I'll save the Fuegos for outdoor events and use the Capezios for indoor dancing. Also, there is a bunch of conversation in the reviews about sizing up or down. Amazon's AI even suggested that I size down by half and said that 90% of users that take their suggestion don't return them. Amazon was wrong. These Capezios run TRUE TO SIZE. If you were born female, order your normal size. I wear 8.5 in most shoes, 9 in some heels. An 8.5 fit me perfectly.

The shoes are great and very stable for dancing. Turns are much easier in these than in normal jazz shoes however I am not able to point my toe as well. They look nice and would be great for both jazz and hip hop. As for sizing, I typically wear a 7-7.5 in sneakers. I ordered a 7.5 and it's a little too big to do toe stands without my feet sliding forward. The people saying to order a size up apparently want these to fit like althletic shoes not dance shoes. So if you're getting them for zumba or to wear everyday, go up a size. If you are a dancer get your normal size.

I needed a dance sneaker that would allow me to move correctly on a wooden floor during my Zumba class. My Nike Musique IV shoes were just a bit too "grippy", and I noticed many of my classmates had the Capezio Rockits. After reading all the Rockit reviews, as well as the reviews for several other styles and brands of dance sneakers, I decided to go ahead and order the Rockits. I'm glad I did, because this style works much better for me. The soles are more slippery, which is what I need to do the moves and steps right; but not so slippery that I am afraid I'll fall, and the split sole is much better for moves that require you to be on your toes or heels. There are two reasons I didn't give this style five stars: 1) I was warned by some of my classmates that they tend to run narrow, and I would have to agree. I have an average width foot, wear size 8 normally, and I did order up a half size as advised in many of the reviews. The length is fine, but by the end of my hour long class my little toes feel cramped; it might be because they hit right where there is a seam. (One of my classmates Rockits are actually coming apart in the exact same place, and she says she knows several other of our classmates have had the same issue). I don't wear socks with them either. 2) Why does it have to have so much padding on the tongue and upper portion? It is nice & comfy, but I just don't see the reason for it...it makes the shoe bulky, and I don't think its necessary. Overall, I'm very happy with this shoe. The price was reasonable, and I feel like I can move better and get the benefit of the exercise, and I do like the way they look except for that thick tongue!

I had a pair of these shoes before and literally danced right through them! I had them for a number of years and only wore them on dance surfaces (never outside) and I have had these shoes for well over 10 years. I started to poke through in the little toe, then along the front sole. I eventually just danced right through them. I looked at the number on the shoe, ordered the same ones in the same size and they fit perfectly! I did not even have to use them for part of the time and then give them a rest. I just put them on and danced as before! Great turning feature! Great support and cushion, but enough flexibility to do what I need to do for a variety of dance styles.

Update: Now in spring 2026 I sought to replace the 2019 pair. I tried two sizes, concluding that my normal shoe size was too small, and the half size larger was too big. Sadly, I had to return both pairs and will try other brands. It is a good shoe and I hope it works better for someone else. 2019 review: I followed the advice of the dance teacher reviewer who said get your normal size and wear them snug, but the toe pinched too much and I had to order a half size larger. The new ones are a little loose but I laced them tightly and in class I quickly forgot about that issue. So I have finally found a comfortable, helpful shoe for all the turns and spins, along with other steps, in line dance. Cowboy boots are cute but feel like torture and gym shoes are too sticky. I noticed the only person in class who looked comfortable and agile had on split sole dance shoes. The arch support is really good, which is surprising, and I had much more energy and spring. I was able to execute the moves much better and felt great after class. Many reviewers mentioned Zumba: I have been fine in Zumba for many years without shoes like these but I’m sure I’ll enjoy wearing them there at times. I only wish I had ordered the two sizes at once and returned one rather than going through the hassle and expense of exchanging. The sizing IS strange, but other than that I love these shoes.

Weird sizing! This is the only shoe that I’ve ever had to exchange my size 5 for a size 7. To make matters worse- it has changed my “Amazon recommended size” to a size 7 and no amount of customer support can help with this problem. It must have triggered some algorithm so that I remember the ones I had to send back. The support is lack in these and your feet will kill you after dancing for a short time. The last thing I will say is that because the fit was so wacky and I had to keep buying these and returning, I ended up with an extra pair. The seller charged the return by date by 1 week so I am now stuck with an extra pair of horribly uncomfortable really expensive dance shoes. If you love to be on your feet- this company has failed with this particular model.

I use these shoes for cardio, Zumba, and other classes I take at the gym. I asked one of my instructors to recommend a shoe and she suggested three brands. This was one of them. She told me to be sure to order one size up. I was afraid they would be out of price range so I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price. They fit my rather wide feet perfectly at one size up. My arches feel well supported and I've not felt any twinges of pain or any fatigue when I wear them. My toes fit well in the toe box. Some other reviewers mentioned that they slip a bit on wood floors. The classroom at my gym looks like it has wood floors (although I don't know for sure) and I've never felt myself slipping in these shoes at all, yet I can move much more easily in these shoes than I could in regular sneakers. The laces are very long so I double tie them and haven't had any problems with them coming untied or anything. They are very comfortable. Overall, they are great shoes for my purposes. I recommend them highly.

Can’t praise this highly enough. Come slightly small so took me 2 go’s to get the right size. Lightweight and good value. Went up from a 7 to an 8. Very comfortable. Got a replacement within 24 hours. Great quality and fab service.

I normally wear Sasha brand, the two pairs I purchased many years unfortunatly broken. First time purchased Capezio from Amazon. Arrived pretty quick and packed in good condition . Size is perfece and I already used to my Saturday class. Lets how they can last long enough . Giving the purchase experieces I give for 5 for now .

I usually wear 10W and initially ordered size 12 thinking I needed more room for my insoles but they were way too large. I returned them and got a size 11 and they are perfect! The shoes are built well and if you loosen the laces it works for wide feet too. I have a tiny bit of room in case my toenails are longer in the summer. It is possible that size 10.5 might have fit just fine if insoles were not needed. Went to a Zumba class this week and they felt great with all the moves. Very happy!

These are great shoes! I purchased my regular shoe size (9.5) and they fit like a glove. I have high arches and medium width feet, and my regular street shoe size is perfect. I almost ordered an half size bigger, but I'm glad I didn't. The cushioning is ample, especially around the ankle. Great price too. Cheers!
