Great for EV’s
This is a great well-made product and has been doing a fine job helping me charge my Nissan EV. It converted an old welder plug to a level 2 EV charge plug.

Works Flawless
I was a little worried if this cord would work or not, but it seems that it is high quality and after charging my 2018 Leaf at 6.6kwh from a low charge for two hours the cord wasn't even warm to the touch. Due to this I feel confident that this adapter will work for many years to come without issues. The only thing I could think for improvement on the cord would be to attach something to the female end to help disconnect the adapter from the EVSE cord that came with my car but it is not that big of an issue as I can still separate the adapter from the EVSE without too much effort.

THIS IS what you're looking for your Level 2 EV charger!
It is NOT specific to Tesla, but it IS specific to EV chargers. The 220V chargers require contact on both 110V posts. There does NOT need to be current flowing, but there must be contact. This is where the RV 220V to 110V adapters fail EV chargers. The RV ones leave the second 110 post empty (blank).I made that mistake on an initial purchase looking for something cheaper (half price) but it doesn't work. That's when I learned about this. For the $50 I would have liked the plug to be molded. It is not, it is screwed on. But it has a nice handle, seems robust, and has good length for versatility in complying to any configuration of plug arrangements one might come across on the road, but is still compact enough to store out of the way. I'm very excited to have this security on my first EV road trip.

Works great with our EVSE, even though not using on a Tesla! (Read more.)
This adapter works perfectly with our portable L2 40-amp EVSE charger. You don't have a Tesla to use this adapter if you have the right EV application and appropriate equipment. Do the right thing and before plugging anything in consult an electrician if you have any questions or doubts whatsoever. Converts a NEMA 6-50 to NEMA 14-50 for 240V EVSE purposes. No part of this got warm (not outdoors), even on a hot day, pulling 32amps for 4 hours. This is a great adapter!

Revised Review: 4 months later… one of the plugs burned
Purchases a few months ago, everything was going great, and one day plugged in my car to charge, and I started hearing a large, buzzing sound. I am plugged it, I attempted to disconnect the plug from the outlet, and I could not. ended up, taking the receptacle out to find that the prong had melted and fused to the outlet, had to pull it out, our breaker is rated for 20 A same as this cable but apparently not sure if cable is accurately rated for 20 A be very careful when using this

Very well built. Recommended.
I bought a 50 amp (actually 40 amp) Clipper Creek EVSE with an installed plug. I installed it temporarily in an area that had an older NEMA 6-50 receptacle. I wanted the newer style NEMA 14-50 plug (call me silly) since this is more common and modern and has an extra ground pin. I guess I could have bought a difference receptacle from Home Depot, but I was lazy, so I bought this adapter cord instead. It works well.

You'll need an adaptor to go with this adaptor!
This looks to be a well made product. Can't yet say if it works, because by itself you can't use it to charge your Tesla if built after about 2020. It's not until you receive the package that you see that an additional adaptor will be needed. That part is another $85 dollars. Apparently Tesla used to ship their cars with this product but no longer does so. I don't see this as deliberate deception, but know that you are only half way there when you order this.
