These filters are noticeably different from the Miele filters we had been using. The sealing collar is new and self sealing and the filter itself is claimed by Miele to employ "nine levels of filtration, improved air flow, high strength netting, and up to 30% improved performance and design over its predecessor". The filter itself seems bulkier and in fact the box is larger (deeper) even holding only 4 filters compared to the box that held the five filters of the previous design.In normal use I'm not sure the filtration difference is noticeable but I'll accept their claim that they have made the filters better. The collar improvement looks to be significant and should help to avoid spillage when changing filters so that is a welcome change, not that we've had any particular problem in that regard.The box contains four filters plus one each of the smaller motor protection filter and "AirClean" filter. As mentioned before, the quantity of four is one less than what we were used to in the past - the filters we previously purchased (from Williams Sonoma and they were the current genuine Miele filters available at that time) and came in a box with five filters plus the same two smaller filters.The smaller filters require trimming with sissors to fit our particular vacuum but that is as normal.I notice other reviewers mentioning generic filters available for less money. I may be buying into Miele's hype but I chose to purchase these filters and am trusting their claims of better filtration and probably better construction overall. I want as much of the dust as possible to be contained in the filter and not released back into the room and a few bucks more to buy these filters is ok with me for these reasons. We bought the Miele vacuum in the first place to get a higher quality appliance so I'll stick with their filters as well unless I am absolutely sure that a different brand was equally good. I haven't tried any of the other alternatives, can't say that they are better or worse, this is just my personal preference.

I purchased the Miele Vacuum Cleaner Bags Type FJM AirClean as replacements to the originals. I am happy to say that these are just as good. The manufacturer didn't skimp on the included bag nor on the replacement bags. While vacuuming or even afterwords there is no extra particles in the air from the vacuum as you get with some of the cheaper model of vacuums and bags. The Miele products are outstanding from their most expensive vacuum to their less expensive accessories and expendables. The bags are easy to install and remove, there is also an extra filter built into the motor that even further removes dust from the air that is pushed through the collection bag. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I have read many review for the vacuums lasting well over 15 years, some much longer. For that I am thankful. The vacuums are expensive but as I mentioned in my other posts, you get what you pay for.I don’t know about you, but I depend very heavily on reviews that are posted on Amazon, even if I am purchasing an item elsewhere, I read what the reviewers here have to say. These, Genuine Miele Vacuum Cleaner AirClean Dust Bags Type FJM, are a no-brainer when it comes to getting the best quality there is available. Miele is simply the best!

Fits and works fine with my old Miele vac. Bought this type of bag before and will continue to do so. I have noted much cheaper substitutes out there, but I have my doubts. I live in the dusty Southwest. So, when I vacuum, I want to know that I have done the best I can to contain the dust.

I've had a Miele vacuum for several years and have not complaints. It's an older model and I just wish it was easier to remove the brushes to remove hair that get entiwned.
