Sky DRX 890 Plus HD Box with 2 TB Hard Drive

Picture seems better than old box. Easy to use controller and find programs I want to watch.

I purchased a Sky+HD box (DRX890W-R) in Aug 2018 and within 2 weeks stopped using it because of it's unreliability. It would frequently report loss of signal (when there was no loss) and would not reliably record programs to its hard drive. It would either not record a scheduled progarm or part record one and was very unpredictable. Months were spent in contact with Sky support who refused to accept my diagnosis of the issues or the results of numerous tests, saying they wanted a report from a satelite installer, even when I'm a Bsc Eng. qualified electronics design engineer, way more qualified than an installer. In fact I used to provide training for installers. Sky also denied the box had a history of such problems even when they were presented with examples of proof online from other users going back to 2011. Sky would also not honor the 12 month product guarantee and continued to insist they wanted a report from a local satelite installer to confirm what they were already being told. Almost 12 months since purchase and I still have no resolution to the many problems with this Sky+HD box. My conclusion ... buyer beware, if you buy this product don't expect any resolution of problems with Sky Support, you're unlikely to get any.
