I bought this 1 tb hard drive a month ago. It is good quality and speed is fast enough. Connectivity is easy to use, but It will be great if is it changed by type-C. It is light weighted.

Shipped timely, works fine. Plenty of storage space. It helps ensure my important documents are stored and backed up offline.

I was super sketched out when I first plugged it in and received those errors. I let Microsoft do its thing and then I ran a scan for bad blocks and got it passed.I did reformat it anyhow. A non-quick format. After that I partitioned it in two drives. 2/3 space as backup for my main pc, with the remaining 1/3 as backup for my laptop.I’m only intending to use this as one of my backup solutions, making backups on a monthly schedule. I will update if something goes south.So far so good, minus those two egregious errors when I first plugged it in. Also make sure the drive is in GPT and not MBR if you are using a newer machine that has the UEFI/BIOS. I think it was already in GPT but I can’t remember, this is just a general rule of thumb when it comes to hard drive storage though.

I primarily want to focus on the value. This is not meant for something that is for professional use. It’s for people like you and me to store videos or photos of family, or maybe archiving games or movies. Therefore, there’s always the trade off in speed vs. value. Many of the times where I do large transfers of video or photo from SD cards, it limits the speed to about 30ish mb. I’m not too worried as I can keep the download on while doing other tasks. However, if you’re looking for a fast drive for professional use or gaming, this is not it.Overall, great value for the storage amount as well as a backup feature for your storage.

The wonders of the 21st century never cease.Even smaller in size than my last portable hard drive, with an even greater capacity.Roughly 4" x 3" and half an inch thick, yet boasting a whole Terabyte in capacity, it's eminently pocket-sized. (floss-pick included in photo for scale)I've still acquired a case for it when I know I need to transport it around, because although storage is cheap, data is valuable, and it's not built with a "rugged" housing.I'm not using it for backups per se, so I didn't bother to download the backup software that Toshiba offers.I applied some personal branding, not included.

This holds a lot of my heavy files and runs smoothly. I also love the color even though that wasn't a draw originally. It helps me differentiate between all of mine.
