Tetrax 72003 EGO Smartphone/Cellphone/Remote Control Airvent Mount Magnetic Holder with Metal Clips, Graphite

Very small sized positive-locking clamp-y mini thing with a rare earth magnet head. Tastefully clamps onto any fin of any vent (vertical or horizontal). Then you stick the metal mini-dome to the back of your phone or case. Then you pop your phone on and off the magnet at will. The profile of the mini dome buttons is smaller than 1/8" by just over 1/4" in diameter so it doesn't get in the way of your phone or case...it's well worth it. I placed the dome-buttons to make my Note II landscape oriented but you can do it either way.I like that the mount locks down very tightly, no way it will pull off because it also has tiny rubber grips. So it's mechanically secure. It doesn't depend on sticky pads or suction cups to hold on. Plus it doesn't make you dash board look like a flea market of plastic junk.I ordered a second one. (Also, i tried placing those thin steel plates in the battery compartment, sold for the other magnetic mount system, but it doesn't work for the Tetrax system).

This is a good solution for a phone mount, you just have to be careful about where your vents are and if they are recessed back at all as this mount doesn't come out far and so you may not get your phone to fit. But when you get it in the right place it is really good and holds the phone securely.

Does exactly what its designed to do. Wish it wasnt as expensive. The phone is held in place well but can spin a little, not a big deal.

If you own the car, get the semi permanent mounting system they sell. I use this product all the time in rental cars as I travel frequently for business. The devices is so small and unobtrusive it is easily forgotten in the rental car when I return it. I've had to replace a couple of them, so I made a small ring of plastic that fits around the outside and is a bit more noticeable in a dark parking garage while in a hurry to get to my flight. I find that this is helped me to hang onto the most recent one I purchased.

Holds very well to the air vents. You do need to make sure your phone will be in a decent position once it is hanging

I travel often and as light as possible. Thus, I try to put thought into each purpose piece I take. This mount has solved the issue of holding your phone while using GPS in the rental car. I place this on the air vent in seconds and can be hands free again. I highly suggest you get an obnoxiously brightly colored little bag to keep it in so to remind yourself to take it home when leaving the rental car...only had to learn that lesson once. :)
