The book covers fisherman's knot, commercial knots, and various types of nets that can be employed to catch fish. There is also net making, including the repairing of nets which is essential even if you use the net moderately when you go fishing. This then is the "bible" of the industry. Personally, I'm glad I bought the book. Just wish it came in hardcover instead of soft cover as hardcover books generally tend to last longer. So far, I'm halfway through the book and have tried to tie just about every knot I've read about, except for the real fancy ones - nylon string just doesn't seem to do those fancy ties justice, cordage or rope is needed. My main point for purchasing this book was to learn to tie a fishing net and there is A LOT TO O LEARN. Not a simple thing to accomplish. I am look on YouTube for a demonstration but I’m sure the demo will be exhaustingly LONG.
