Must read review!
First off, the negative reviews are accurate!! This hole saw comes with an arbor with no locking mechanism.. Newton's first law of physics tells us that an object in motion, stays in motion unless acted upon by another force. Let's think about this for a min. Hole saw spinning insanely fast at the tip of your hands and probably really close to your face with a arbor with no lock = as another review stated "spinning death trap"! When the drill stops, the arbor stops, but nothing to stop the spinning teeth of JAWS. Again, newton's first law tells us it is going to keep spinning until you just can't stop yourself from trying to catch it... Other reviews have detailed the results of that science experiment. So, should this be sold as it is, NO! This hole saw does have the holes for the locking pins to mount in. Go buy a locking arbor as you see in the picture. I the the big box stores all sell them and I am sure you can find them on Amazon. Do like I did, keep the bits and throw the arbor in the scrap metal pile. I only bought the 60mm hole saw because the crazy 6" LED lights I bought off amazon were nearly 6.25". Unless you like paying $90 for a hole saw of name brand that your only going to use once or twice, this is the perfect product. It cuts well and clean. Had no issues going through 1" pine and 1/2" ply wood to get my lights mounted. Just like any hole saw with so many teeth, it clogs up easily in pine or soft wood. You will get annoyed stopping to clean the teeth out, but I have name brand expensive hole saws much smaller that do the same thing in soft woods. I included a picture of the hole saw with the arbor that comes with it and an arbor I already had for the name brand hole saws. It threaded right in and pins lined up. So unless you just like challenging the laws of physics, I highly recommend you purchase a better arbor or dig through your tool chest and find one that fits. Highly recommend the product if your not a professional electrician installing can lights all day long, if so go purchase the $90 name brand carbide tipped hole saw.

Good hole saw
I bought these to intsall recessed ceiling lights. Worked perfectly, but use a dust catcher when making the holes in the ceiling.

Yup, it’s a scary tool!
This is heavy, very well made, very, very sharp, and if you’re not careful the blade can unscrew and become a lethal projectile! Yes, those reviews were accurate! If you’re careful, however, and remain cognoscente of the risk, it’s a very good hole saw! They simply need to put a lock nut on the inside to make it safer to use!

Great value for a fairly well made hole saw.
I needed to cut a 7-1/2 inch hole in a piece of 3/4 inch plywood. I found this hole saw on Amazon at a very reasonable price, but some of the reviews were downright frightening, citing safety issues. The hole saw was well made, having a 1/4 inch plate and a 12 gauge cutting edge. The teeth were sharp and had a nice offset, so sawdust would not bind the saw. The center hole was not quite threaded all the way through, so I had to ream it out a little. When turning, it had minimal wobble, which is always an issue for large hole saws. Having a lot of experience using hole saws and hand tools to drive them, I knew this large size hole saw needed special handling, especially in plywood. I used my drill press and a different shank that attaches to the hole saw plate, with a very low speed of 250 rpm. Using very light pressure to drill, the saw easily and accurately cut the hole as seen in the photo. I would only recommend using a hand held drill for large hole saws (> 4 inches) when drilling in drywall or a very light or very thin material. This particular hole saw was a real bargain at the Amazon price, especially for a one time use.

It'll make a big hole
If you have a need to make a really big hole in something, this'll do it. I used it to make a hole for a vent fan in 1" thick plywood. Worked great.

Bad design, dangerous arbor included
Arbor doesn’t lock so as soon as you take your finger off the drill it will stop and forward momentum will unscrew the hole saw from the arbor and it goes flying. Actual hole saw is decent after buying a locking arbor. Unfortunately i hit a nail in the ceiling on my first hole and it dulled the teeth. I was able to get 5 more holes drilled but it was a little tough. The size of the hole saw is perfect for installing 6 inch flat LED lights and I was super happy about that. It will get the job done but it mignt not last too long. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this without getting a locking arbor because you will cut yourself or damage something around you if you use the arbor that comes with this.

Excellent Product and High Quality
I purchased this to cut 6" holes into my ceilings to install LED recessed lights. You will not be disappointed with this as it makes a clean hole into sheetrock and wood every single time. I made the mistake of purchasing the cheaper version available at the big box stores and quickly regretted it.This product makes very clean crisp holes and does it quickly.

Inexpensive tool, adequate for what I needed.
I needed a 6 1/4" hole saw to install new speakers in my boat. I usually purchase high quality tools, but for this purpose I just couldn't justify spending $50-$70 for a one time use. This hole saw is not top quality by any stretch, but it did work very well for creating round, correctly sized holes in fiberglass with minimum fuss. I'm very pleased with the performance of the tool for this purpose. I doubt that it remain usable for more that a few holes, but it was more than adequate for my project.
