V-MODA Speakeasy DAC/AMP 3-Button Lightning Cable - Black, One Size

I have long been looking for a simple lightning to 3.5mm dongle that amplifies sound a bit more than the current offerings. You can use a dac amp, but they’re usually power hungry, and don’t just simply connect to a phone. While I was more hoping for just an upgraded dongle, this is the next best thing. Plugs in and gives better volume and punch to music than a normal dongle would do. Sounds really good too. Doesn’t drain battery at all it seems like. My only wish is that they made a shorter version of this cable so I could just use an adaptor and plug into my headphones that don’t have 3.5mm inputs. It does work connecting one headphone to this, but then you’re left with an 8 foot mess. But that’s not against the product, it’s working great so far! I wouldn’t spend $99 on it, but for what I need it’s almost perfect

I love my V-Moda headphones. I have the Crossfade LP from 2012! The iPhone adapter was trash. Having the vmoda adapter changed it all! I can continue using my favorite headphones of all time. I know I should buy new ones but I own a home that continuously runs to my wallet like I’m a suga momma.

Between my wife and I, we have broken 3 of these cords. The lightning connector is barely held in the housing by a thin line of glue. Couple that with the length of the plastic housing and you can break off the connector with little effort. Two ripped out completely. The third just stopped connecting. V-Moda replaced two of them, but it really isn't worth our time anymore. It's a shame because the cord looks great, sounds lovely, and has great functions when it isn't broken. I hope they come out with a second generation that fixes the connector. Until then, I strongly recommend you use their AUX connector version with an Apple lightning adapter. It doesn't look as pretty, but you don't have to constantly worry about breaking it.

The MiC is very good. The controls buttons are not flimsy, very sold. The cable is well crafted. I am not hearing a difference in sound quality when using iTunes.

While buying the V-Moda headphones for Bluetooth listening, which has a great sound when using my Android music player, my iPhone 8 just wasn’t of the same quality. As I had also found myself using the standard 3.5 mm supplied with the headphones with my Xbox and Android player, and liking the improved audio quality it made, I decided to try this on the iPhone. What a wonderful improvement in the sound it has made - so much so, that I use the Bluetooth only on my Android device now and prefer this wired connection to my iPhone for most listening.

As another reviewer mentioned, it is overpriced and you may be able to find it for much less. Worked great for my needs!

As other have stating these stopped working very shortly after purchase (bought 11/26/23, stopped working 4/5/24). I use(d) these very rarely with my iPhone 14 Plus for a few months and they sounded great compared to the regular aux with a lightening adapter. But then around the 4th month they kept saying accessory not supported, then completed stopped registering in the phone. Do not buy this V-Moda cable, it's horribly made!

Acheter pour utiliser mon casque V-moda M-100 master avec mon iphone 12 mini. J'utilise mon casque habituellement sur la sortie casque de mon ampli Micromega IA-180 avec lequel le son est propre et bien détaillé. Si je compare avec le dac V-moda je ne peux pas en dire autant, il y a de la disto en plus et le son est moins bien défini. Ca fait le job quand même mais je m'attendais à mieux pour le prix et la description du produit... Pour le reste il à l'air solide et la finition est bonne.

Non sono solo per cuffie VModa ma anche con altre marche l’importante che abbiano l’entrata jack 3,5 mm stereo. Io ne sono entusiasta e lo consiglio vivamente anche se il prezzo è importante ma voglio dirlo: vale ogni euro del suo prezzo.

Ce câble DAC fait son travail en y apportant une belle efficacité malgré une certaine exigence en matière de casque et de "compatibilité" - Je m'explique : Ce cable ne donnera pas le même résulta audio sur tous les casques surtout si il est déjà riche en basse ! En effet le DAC 24 bit n'aime pas trop cela à la base, il vous faudra trouvez un casque "assez neutre" au niveau du son et de sa bande passante qui ne doit pas descendre trop bas... Perso, j'utilise le Focal Listen car il est parfait avec sa bande passante de 15 à 23 khz, de plus, il a la prise jack femelle 3,5 en entrée indispensable pour ce câble ! Le résulta est top ! le son est d'une grande clarté, puissant, dynamique, etc... Reste le prix élevé...
