It states these are solar panel lights but with so little sun in Scotland do the lights work well?

What colour temp? will they work under a small porch if used on pir only?

I would say the colour temp is 6000k ( white daylight ), as to the p.i.r ( the movement sensor ) it should work if you have good line of sight for movement detection, also you'll need to make sure the solar panel is getting enough sunlight to recharge ( as you said its under a porch ). I've bought two of these and they are very good, they detect about 20ft away and much better then the two other brands i've bought. I'm an electrician.

my light will be sited under a canopy - 2 foot overhang so no sun. will the light still work?

Depending on the canopy for example tree branches or a solid porch. I have 2 of mine on the side of my house where we get no direct sunlight but they charge and work just fine. I dont think they need direct sunlight. Hope this helps.

is there a warm white version?
