Great lock, no key or batteries needed!
We needed to secure a door but didn't want to invest in a lot of money to do so. This is a unique lock, in that there is no battery that will need to be replaced. No key needed. There is no touch screen. The lock system is done with "jumpers" and you chose what numbers you want by moving the jumpers around. You cannot have duplicate numbers, though. The numbers do not have be compressed in any particular order, either. Then, to open, pull down on the handle. To lock the door, you pull up on the handle. You can lock the door from inside, by pulling up on the handle, too, so it will give you security. It has a nice finish and is nice and sturdy. It was easy enough to install. We had to drill some extra holes in a metal door, working around previous holes from other locks. Highly recommend!

Love this lock!
While this lock was a bit of a pain to install (hard to get the screws to align with the threaded inserts on the other side), once installed I couldn't be happier with the lock. Easy to change combination before installation. The operation is smooth and very reliable. Once unlocked, door handles on both sides open the door great. To lock, simply push either handle up, and it clears the lock so it is locked until the next time. Even if you punch a wrong number, just move the handle up to clear, then put in the right numbers. Very sturdy, looks great, and works wonderfully!

Much better than an electric lock which requires batteries.
I installed one of these on the entry door of my garage over five years ago. It still looks new and works perfectly. I'll install this one on the entry door between the garage and the kitchen. I've tried electronic locks, but they seem to fail prematurely. This lock accepts only one programmable code, which works good for me.

Non-standard mount requires drilling 8 holes.
Installed this on an exterior hollow core steel door. Bolt and spindle hole were present, but 8 more holes had to be drilled (4 in each side of door) at locations unlike any other lock I have bought. Provided dimensions were correct, so no rework was required, although a few sentences were truncated from the use/installation guide. My handles are cast steel; much stronger than that shown in another review I saw here. The front and rear plates are drawn sheet metal; 1/16 to 1/8" thick. Guide and ad don't make clear that code entry order is ignored by the lock; "123456" and "654321" are interpreted the same way by the lock. "A" and "B" on keyboard are simply additional combination choices, like 0 through 9, for a total of 12 programmable keys. We lose power fairly often and my wife won't carry house keys, so this was a good choice for us.

Great Mechanical Keyless Door Lock - Installed by a professional doorman.
This keyless door lock is amazing. Our door is made out of steel, so it's harder to install. Therefore, we had to call a professional doorman (handyman) to install it. He charged us $100. We installed it in addition to the lock we already have, so now we have 2 locks. I think it's worth the price and saves a lot of headaches by going keyless. Take a look at the pictures.

Very Disappointing, Doesn't Work Properly
I purchased this door lock hoping for a secure and reliable solution, but it has been nothing but trouble. Right out of the box, the lock mechanism was stiff and difficult to turn. After a few days of use, the lock started to jam, and now it takes multiple attempts just to get the key to turn.

Good for the price but with serious issues
Itโs hard to beat the price and it has some good features but it also has some very bad ones too. The first good feature that also doubles as a bad one is that you can leave the code in so the door stays unlocked until you lift the handle. This is very convenient unless someone has access to the door while itโs unlocked. They can easily guess the code based on which keys are depressed so when the door is locked they still have access. This leads to the second issue. The code is not sequential. You can press the keys in any order. This severely lowers the amount of attempts needed to crack the code especially if you know how many digits it is. On the note of coding, it requires taking apart the lock and putting in blocks to establish the code. They give you 8 block and you have to keep the extra blocks in a bag somewhere in case you ever want to set to code to a different number than you previously had. So if you set a 4 digit code, youโre locked into having a 4 digit code forever if you ever lose the extra blocks. Same goes for if you set an 8 digit code. Youโre forever locked into an 8 digit code due to the inner workings of the lock. Again, itโs a great product for a low price and there arenโt many coded locks with โinfinite battery lifeโ on the market right now but you get what you pay for.

Great mechanical combo door lock
Fairly easy install, though I did have to drill a couple of additional holes. Included template made that pretty straightforward. I like the combo setting pieces, though it does mean that this lock doesn't care what the order of the combination is. In mathematical terms, it is a _combination_ lock, not a _permutation_ lock. However, it's a sturdy lock, esp. considering that the 5-button locks you find in commercial settings are $250-300. Very nice bang for the buck. I would recommend this, also considering that we have one of the electronic combo locks in the house, and it uses 4 AA batteries. I like this one because it's mechanical. No batteries to change.

Great quality - very sturdy and convenient.
Love the quality components - very sturdy, not flimsy at all. My contractors set this up - they said it was a little bit of a challenge, as the original standard door handle holes are larger and did not line up well with these holes (almost overlapped), thus decreasing the overall strength of the lock (ie could be kicked in more easily). However, I am using this for a rental on an interior door, so sufficient strength for my needs. Looks great, very convenient so far. Not looking forward to changing the combination, as apparently you have to remove the top plate and manually change the metal bits inside. However, a great buy so far.

Great price for a great product!
The installation was a bit challenging, even for a very good handy man, there were some swear words said! Lol. Honestly, once installed and in use, it looks awesome and works awesome :) Iโm very impressed with how sturdy it is and just how easy it will be to re-code the lock if we ever need to. I love that we wonโt have to worry about batteries too.

Easy life
This is the third time we have bought this lock, very sturdy. Easier to install. All our rentals are keyless as not to deal with them loosing keys all the time

Nice item and easy install if you have a Drill
Other then the door being no good if it breaks. My kids love this. A little discoloring.โน And it works well thanks
