Ortopad® Bamboo Boys Eye Patches, 50/bx, Blue Camo Pack, Med Size 2-4 yr

These eye patches have been a lifesaver for my family. My son was diagnosed with semi-mild strabismus when he was 2 1/2. Due to this, he was required to have glasses and an eye patch for 2+ hours a day to strengthen his eye. As you can imagine, explaining to a 2 1/2 year old that he needs to wear an eyepatch daily is a very difficult task. We tried a few different brands due to price points and every time we come back to these. There is nothing out there that sticks like these without hurting him when taken them off, plus the fun designs give him incentive to wear them. The exterior material is extremely soft and the adhesive comes off without any pain to his skin or eyebrows. My son is a pretty sweaty kid, so there are occasions where the adhesive will lose it’s adhesion and the patch will begin to come off. That being said, these ones are far stronger than any other brand we have tried. The material is cut in two key places where the eyepatch connects to the nose that allows it to maintain adhesive without fighting the contour of his face. My only recommendation if you’re using these is to put them on during a time of day where your child will be having the least amount of activity, that way there is no chance sweat will break the seal. My wife and I have used this product quite regularly and will continue to do so until my son no longer needs them. This is by far the best option on the market and, if your child needs eye patches, I implore you to not waste your time with buy any kind other than these.

Best patches we tried by far. Toddler proof. They stay on all day. They don’t come off when he rubs his eyes. They are more expensive but worth every penny because they last longer than all the other brands. They don’t irritate his skin either. Very happy with my purchase!

I ordered these eye patches for my grandson who is two. He has very sensitive skin and we were worried that these may irritate his little face. These stayed on very well, but also were easy to take off and didn't pull his skin away. This is the second box that we've ordered for him and he really thought it was quite funny that he could put this on his face. He also like the colors. We were worried about him wanting to pull them off but he has worn them without any trouble and thinks it's just the coolest thing. I would definitely recommend these patches for your little one, especially if they have sensitive skin like Holden does. If he can wear these I would say most any other baby could without any irritation to their skin whatsoever. These worked great and we're well worth the money.

As a child I had to wear an eye patch and they were so uncomfortable. Where were these amazing things when I was little. Sadly my son inherited my bad eyes and now was to wear a patch. He also has a very sensitive skin and many allergies. These stay on nice, don’t irritate his skin and I love the designs as well as the slits to make them sit nice on his eye and nose.

These Ortopads are great for my 2 year old who will not leave any other patch on her eye. It fits smoothly over her eye, and is adhesive enough to stay on, almost too adhesive. I put a thin layer of lotion around her eye before I apply the pad, it still sticks well, and it comes off so much nicer than without the lotion. This does not irritate her skin and we are able to patch her every day since she no longer gets red and irritated from the removal of the patch. We will stick with the Ortopads until she no longer needs them, or she is able to use a regular patch that doesn't need any adhesive.

My 6-year-old son has been patching an eye for amblyopia for almost a year, and these have been the only patches we've used. My wife, who patched as a kid as well, was terrified of rashes, sweat, itching, and a myriad of other issues that she experienced in the early 90's with her patches. These apparently use a much more advanced adhesive, as they have never left my son's skin red or broken at all. He's an active little guy, and we've never had one come off during the day. The only exception is if you place it over the eye and then remove it to reposition. In that case, it does not stick well -- just get a new patch. No problem. I'm so pleased with these. I went in to this expecting rashes, pulled out eyebrow hair, and other unpleasant problems. My son has done very well with them.

Grandson recently had to start wearing an eye patch for 2 hours a day so we got these because of the different pictures on them. He loves them! They are so easy to put on and they remove easily without pulling eye brows out. So easy to order since local pharmacy didn’t have any. They stick to the skin well, have not had any issues with falling off even when playing in water.

I’ve order these multiple times and they’re great for helping strengthen that weaker eye. My child isn’t a fan of the sticky side but I find if you put it on your hand first or your shirt depending on how sensitive your child is it solves that issue. They still stay on no problem! Will purchase again.

My son wears it for an hour a day every day. He is only 2 so I was worried he would not wear it. Once he saw the designs he was open to it. They stay on but do not hurt him when I take them off. This is an excellent product.

We switched from another brand to this one - they are great, they have no scent, he has not skin reactions. Thing 1 - A bit sticky. We have to peel off the tabs and apply the patch to our clean palm, then peel it off and stick it on our boy. Otherwise, it is too sticky to get off later. Pre-stick and peel solves this. Note: don't let it get wet (bath, splash pad) it will be a gooey mess that will leave gobs of residue behind.
