Looks even better in person! A little snug, though...
These are very nice looking sneakers. Perfect for casual wear as well as athletic wear. By today's standards, it's nice to have a sneaker that's versatile enough to wear to the gym, and for hanging out at the mall or grabbing a few beers at the bar with your friends. I've gotten quite a few compliments on these sneakers, both for their style and their rarity (I use the term rarity because they are neither Nike, Reebok or any other top name brand sneaker)While I did find the shoes to be a somewhat tighter fit than usual, I am still able to wear them with relative comfort for extended periods of time. But if I had my druthers, i'd like just a little more room in them. They aren't tight to the point where they cause pain or discomfort, but after an hour or two on your feet, you do find yourself either looking for a chair, or looking forward to taking them off altogether. I would recommend ordering a size larger than you usually wear.

Doubled my run, 1/2 the time.
This is my first online purchase of shoes, so I was extremely hesitant. I always love trying on first and what. Especially with a picky ankle/foot/leg, things do and don't always feel right. These work and felt great. They are lightweight but still kept me dry from the rain [after a while though]. They bend better than I thought they would. The heel is stiffer than I would like it to be, and yes I see cross-training along with running in describing this shoe, so it's a toss in the air. You can "feel" where/why they would be cross training, and you can tell why they would be good running shoes. I only ever, EVER, bought running shoes less than $20. Just that typical guy thing 'whats the difference'. I finally owned up and these were my "expensive" purchase. My running game increased big time. Where I knew between distance and duration exactly when my legs would hypertrophy and "that was the run". No way, with these I've doubled my distance in half the time. The comfort is there.

If you have a wide foot, don't bother considering this shoe
Supposedly this shoe comes in a wide size. However, the three times I tried ordering a wide size I ended up receiving what appeared to be a regular size. The ONLY thing indicating it was a wide shoe was a sticker applied to the outside of the shoe box. But neither the box nor the shoe itself indicated a "W" or a "Wide" so for all I know whomever applied the sticker made an error. Anyway wide size or not, none of the orders I received fit me since they were too narrow. The length was alright though but that was thankfully because I read other reviews that indicates Pumas run a little small in size so I ordered half a size larger than I usually do. Long story short, I finally contacted Amazon about this issue and their response was that the wide size is only indicated on the outside of the box and not in the shoe. Well again, the only thing that indicates what I received is what is a sticker, not the box itself. I was extremely disappointed overall with the difficulty in ordering this product as I really like the looks of the shoe. I left my review at 3 out of 5 stars because product itself wasn't to blame for my issues. For all I know, if I had actually received a shoe that fit it may have been an awesome shoe.

A great cross training shoe for the gym, but doesn't seem designed for long distance running.
I bought these PUMA Men's Tazon 5 Wide Training Shoe at a steal during the holidays and they would probably have been worth it at twice the price. I normally wear a size 10 wide, or a 10 1/2. With luck, the 10 wide was in stock. The shoe started off feeling a little tight but after three or four days, they break in, loosen up a bit and feel just right. The shoe itself appears and feels as if they were made for working out in the gym and not running outside. As some of the other reviews have noted, the arch support is somewhat lacking which could be explained by this not being a strict running shoe. For me, the shoes felt perfectly comfortable for hours in the gym and for casual walks, which is exactly what I bought them for. If you are looking for a running shoe, definitely choose a different model. I've only had these for three weeks so I cannot say how long they last. If there are any premature failures, I'll be sure to add something to this review. For now, I would definitely recommend these to a friend.

O H - Exactly what I was looking for! - I O
Been looking for OSU colored exercise shoes and I found them! Love the style on these! And I got really lucky I guess since they shipped from Indiana and only took 2 days on a free regular shipping fee! I wore Pumas back in the day when I was in my young teens for soccer and never really wore them after I grew up but I'm upset with myself that I didn't give then a try until I seen the OSU colors, but these surprised the hell out of me when I laced them up.. I was scared when I saw the reviews on being "narrow" and making "squeaky noises when you walk in them", But those statements are false from what I experienced. I have a relatively wide foot, to the point I call them duck feet lol and I can honestly and want to wear these all day! I'm glad I did take the proper advice to adjust the my sizing to a half size smaller.. I wear 12's in Nike's so I bought 11 1/2's and the fit very well. I love the feel they give my feet when they are hard surfaces, just enough padding to never have sores and be able to have full control and stability. Has to be one of the best shoes I've bought in a long time and I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend them to anyone!
