WhiteCoat Clipboard - Teal - Medical Edition

The GOOD: I love that the hinge appears to be very well made and is fairly stiff. This thing won't be flapping around on you...opening and closing. It is also made of sturdy materials that I believe will last. It folds up small enough to stow in your whitecoat easily. Large enough to have as many as 20 or so sheets of paper on the clipboard.The BAD: The "cheat sheet" imprints on the clipboard are not the most useful. And they could have used the inside as well to add more information. But my biggest complaint is a bit complicated to explain. Let me try. When you close the board, the hinge keeps one side of the folded board about 1/2 an inch in depth. The other side (the open end) also has about a 1/2" depth that is provided by a wire spacer that is attached to the top of the clip (the spring loaded thing that holds your papers in place). Here is the problem. If you put 8-9 pages in the clipboard, it raises the clip... thereby raising the wire spacer... and you end up with a folded clipboard that is 1/2" at the hinge side... but can be significantly thicker at the clip (open) side. All in all, this is a very minor problem.Generally, I am very happy with this clipboard and recommend it highly. The negatives do not even come close to outweighing it's usefulness and versatility.

The product does help keep my papers in an organized fashion and it makes writing easier during report. The product fits in the pockets of my uniform top, but the clipboard does get in the way when I have to bend down. I usually have to take it out of my pocket if I'm going to do some bending. A student in my cohort also purchased the clipboard and the clipboard doesn't get in her way because she has a side pocket on her pants that the clipboard fits in, so there's a solution to the bending problem. The price is on the high side for it being a clipboard, which is one of the reasons I'm giving it 4 stars, but overall I would recommend the product to any student who attends clinicals.

I absolutely love that this clipboard folds and is metal. The information is pretty unuseful for my job but I don't use it for that anyway. I am however extremely upset that while on my rounds this evening the rivet fell out of the clipboard. I use this 3 days a week and am very careful with it because of the price and wanted it to last. At the cost of the clipboard I refuse to replace it with another and am now seeking a new way keep my information while doing my rounds at night.

This clipboard is awesome for new PA students! I love the fact that it is fold-able to protect patient privacy and fit in your pocket. The info on the clipboard is great. The biggest criticism I have is that the sales price is way more than what the product is worth. While the information is great, the product is just stickers laid onto a plastic board. I am also a little concerned that any exposure to water will destroy the stickers since it doesn't appear to be a sealed product. I know that I plan on wiping it down frequently after seeing patient so only time will tell how it will hold up.

My first clipboard I received as a graduation gift when I was in nursing school. After two years, someone stole it from me at work. They are so sturdy and handy that I bought it again in my favorite color. Love the design.I’m an ICU nurse so I prefer the medical edition as it has more detailed info on cardiac leads, MAps, etc. Versus the nursing one that has more nursing 101 type info like Faces pain scale, pupil dilation etc.Overall, great for any nursing student or nurse.

This clipboard was super helpful during my med surg clinicals in nursing school. It fit right in my scrub pocket and held a decent amount of papers for such a thing clipboard. The cheat sheets were the best as well. It allowed me to keep all the info I needed on me during my skills but not become cluttered and get in the way. Definitely recommend this. Only con is I didn't like how my papers would be bent and I would have to try and smooth it flat again.

This is a great idea for a product. It can be folded in half, which aids in portability and allows it to be easily fit into a white coat pocket. There are a lot of usefully equations and other information that will be helpful when I go on rotations and is secure.There are different versions for nursing and pharmacy that seem equally well designed and equally helpful for their respective professions. People who are farther along than me in their education suggested this product to me, and I will continue to do so for people who come after me in their training.

I'm pretty happy. Don't regret buying it, but it doesn't fit in a scrub pocket as advertised and it doesn't completely contain the paper when it's folded which is pretty disappointing. Any paper inside goes past the edge of the clipboard even when it's open. Very light and appears good quality though!
