Amazing 3-in-1 Cleaner
The BISSELL CrossWave Advanced is a game changer for cleaning. It vacuums, washes, and dries my floors in one easy step, saving me so much time. The improved edge cleaning is a great feature, making it easy to get into corners. It works well on both hard floors and rugs, and the results are impressive. My floors have never looked cleaner! Highly recommend this multi-surface cleaner for anyone looking for convenience and efficiency.

Brilliant on hard floors
This is fantastic. Arrived yesterday and has done a fantastic job on my dirty floors. We have a large open plan downstairs which is a mix of tile, laminate and vinyl. It did it all. Normally I would hoover and then mop, which would take me about 3hrs with drying time on top. This at least halves that time and the room I started on is already dry by the time I get finished with the next one. Very easy to use.. Filled the clean water twice, emptied dirty 3 times due to the amount of debris on the floor but this is a huge area (until now, I put this task off because it takes do sodding long, so there were a lot of bits to pick up. I won't put it off in future as this is so easy, so I think my cleans will be even quicker and therefore more frequent, and I'll have to empty less often). Machine is very easy and quick to rinse afterwards. I got the advanced version and im glad I did. I couldn't really work out what the difference between the two models was from the descriptions, but I found in the box instructions that this is marketed as the 'pet's version in the USA, so I'm very glad I got this one. A cocker spaniel sheds a lot of fur! The advanced is also supposed to get closer to the edges and this one certainly did. The were only two odd shaped corners in the bathroom that it didn't catch. Im sure it's fine on rugs, but it doesn't like washamats- the suction is too powerful. I don't know why people have written bad reviews other than if they're expecting it to be a vacuum cleaner (it's not for carpets) or if it's faulty. Comments saying the floor is left wet are also bizarre - yes there's a little dampness left but it dries in no time and considerably less water/ dry time than a mop and bucket. I think some of the comments about it not getting to the edge must be for the standard model as this is fine.

Almost perfect
I have been searching for about 3 years for something which will assist in keeping cream (what were we thinking!!) tiles clean in our kitchen/diner. brush, vacuum cleaner, manual mop, steam cleaner. All of these were able to do one specific task and a combination of sweep and clean was a very time consuming exercise. After one failed experiment with a robotic vacuum - which is great for a uniform shaped floor an a place with no cables - I decided to try the Crosswave. This device seemed to fit into the sweet spot where it was able to clear up minor debris with a suction function and clean/mop the floor along with a polish with the rotating head. I've had this now a few months and I have to say I'm impressed. It is good at cleaning the floor of debris and does a good job of cleaning and polishing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone bu having said that there are a few things that stop this from being perfect and I'll share those now: 1. It's expensive. It does the job well but it's design is fairly simple so I find it difficult to justify the price, the vaue it gives me and the time it saves makes it worth it for me but I can;t say the item itself is of the complexity or quality to justify the price I paid. I also purchased the upgraded model which "gets closer to edges" and has a few small design differences, this was £80 more though and again I'm not sure it is worth the extra money. 2. It has a small tank for capturing debris which is either vacuumed or picked up directly by the roller. As the tank is small it cannot replace your main vacuum and means this needs emptying every time it's used. If the floor is really filthy you will need to run it several times or vacuum/brush beforehand. 3. The solution/water spray does not seem to come out too well. This is my biggest issue, if you have a stubborn mark on the floor (such as a half eaten sweet or minor juice spillage which has become dirty then it requires spraying the mark and then returning later once it has soaked in. This means I often run the roller without liquid to clear the floor, every stubborn mark I spray it and then run the device again using the solution to polish and at the same time removing the stubborn marks which have now had a chance to soak. 4. The final issue is that any odours tend to stick to the roller. I was unfortunate to run across an earlier milk spillage that had not been properly cleaned, I did not realise at the time. The next time I used the device it transferred s atle milk odour all over my floor. I ended up having to throw the roller and buy another and clean the floor again to remove the smell. BE WARNED KEEP A SPARE ROLLER AND WASH AFTER USE. Aside from the issue which are really quite minor this is a great device.

Don’t need to do things twice!!
I love it!!! I use it in my shop and it works wonderfully!! However it’s slightly heavier than my other vacuum and it’s hard to clean the edge of walls and it can be a challenging to clean the bottom of my shelves since it can’t go very flat like a Dyson(but hey, Dyson can’t mop at the same time!!). And their cleaning solution can be expensive. Anyways, it’s still a lifesaver when you have pets. I have 2 cats in the shop and they do vom every other week. The crosswave does the dirty work for me which is GREAT!!!(it cleans even the dried vomit as well haha!) And maybe it’s because it has a ‘two tank system’ m, I feel that the floor is way cleaner and overall smells better!! In general, I LOVE IT!!! I now love cleaning my shop, can finish cleaning within 15mins rather than 30+ mins!! love love love and will def. get another one for my home!!!

Broke down within 6 months
Initially I was pleased with the Bissell. It did a reasonable job of cleaning the floor and vacuuming the bits missed by the 'proper' vacuum cleaner. It certainly was a lot easier than mopping the large tiled kitchen and dining room I have. However it has now broken. There was a smell from it and then the power for the whole house tripped. I left it for a few days in case something internal had got wet but as soon as it is turned on it trips the switch circuit (I guess an improvement on the whole house! ) Unfortunately I can't send it back under warranty because I changed the plug. I have now bought a Karcher FC5. Hopefully it will last longer! I am pleased with it .. It cleans better than the Bissell and a major plus is it goes right to the edges so no crawling around the floor every couple of weeks to get the bits the Bissell couldn't do! Another plus is you can use any machine detergent in it, so I think it will pay for itself in a couple of years compared with the Bissell.

Not as good as the YouTube adverts
On tile this product is quite poor. There is quite a lot of hype especially on YouTube. The demo on Youtube do exaggerate the tools effectiveness. The amount of product that dispensed is very little. The main aim of the product is to make the surface dry after cleaning rather than cleaning itself. Best results come from pre-spraying the surface with liquid cleaner and then hoovering it up. This is really a vacuum rather than a cleaner it really struggles with the most easy to clean marks on tiles. This cleaning like a very lightly damp cloth rubbed very very lightly very softly. As mentioned the main aim of the product Ismleave the surface dry quickly rather than clean. Also unless you pay for the overpriced cleaning fluid Bissell say that they will not give you the 2year guarantee. It is the way they pay for the two years of warranty. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS POINT. This SHOULD NOT BE acceptable. As mentioned the machine can not really clear a wet floor even if it is made wet by the machine itself. Please do not expect too much from this product. It will not deal with any problematic dirt. On the postive side the machine is easy to use even if it simply. Does not put down a enough liquid to be able to clean most dirt. Please do not believe the YouTube videos which are most probably paid for by Bissell. This is a very average product which only just does what it is supposed to do.

Best way to clean a floor especially if you have dogs
We have two large hairy dogs and a large garden, and in this wet weather the dogs bring the mud indoors. I have used everything from spinning mops to steam wands to clean our tile and wooden floor and this floor cleaner is by far the best. I fill the bottle with water and just general multi surface cleaner and the results are fab. It does pick up the dog hair as well but I generally vacuum the floor first. The first few times I used it the water in the waste container was literally black. I do the floor every-other day unless the weather is bad, and the floor has never looked so clean. It works well on tile and hard wood floor and leaves the floor drier than a mop. I have also used it on our room rugs and I didn't realise how dirty they were until after they were cleaned. Forget mops and steamer this cleaner is is by far better.

Good but could be better
Handy for hoovering and washing in one to save time. The dirty tank is easy to remove and clean as is the roller for washing floor. Suction is so so. Washing floors is so so. It does NOT clean grout on a tiled floor at all... but will clean the tiles not bad. Freshens up rugs quite nicely. I have a constant hair casting dog and it does an ok job and leaves the floors smelling nice. The bissell washing product is very expensive and if you are using this daily or every 2nd day... you will go through a lot. I've resorted to using another product and fingers crossed it's ok... can't see why not but it avoids the warranty. All in all a handy machine for doing a 2 in 1 job. I went for corded as I get driven mad by my other cordless hoover running out of charge. The cord is a good length.
