We love playing Rivals! It’s much better than playing the Catan board game when you only have two people. We added the expansion packs last summer and are addicted to putting together new combinations every time we are together we highly recommend if you’re a Catan fan that you learn this edition.

This expansion is so much fun and excitement, I love that it lets you play in a way like the seafarers scenario just like playing the regular catan boardgame. Highly recommended 👍

I had been looking for this version, which is the revised one, but was having a hard time finding it. There were not many pictures of the actual item but it was described well so I purchased it and it was exactly what I wanted. This is an expansion to the 2 player game Rivals for Catan (you need Rivals to be able to play this expansion game). This revised version has the small color coded wood ship pieces, and from my understanding a few changed to the game play, as opposed to the little cardboard tokens that came with the original version. I am a big fan of the Rivals for Catan game the I am very please with this expansion purchase and can't wait to start playing it.

Great game for two.

This is an expansion of Rivals for Catan so only purchase if you have that and enjoy it already! I really enjoy the original board game Settlers of Catan so I decided to give this a try as a two player option. It can be fun but it is very different from Settlers and not as much fun. There are also a lot more rules and concepts so it does take a little bit to get the hang of. And then when you throw expansions into the mix it becomes even more complicated so I’d probably just stick to the basic Rivals for Catan. I would still recommend it if you have already played and really love Settlers, but definitely try that first if you haven’t already because if you don’t like that you’ll probably like this even less.

I am already purchasing the third expansion, this game is too good! A perfect two player paradise for those who love Catan and its variations!
