Finally an awesome RO/DI, great price, and works!
Time for a honest review. I used a TDS meter and from 837 well water to 0 TDS. I could not ask for more. Not only does it produce ultra pure RO/DI water it also produces drinking water that is safe for me and my family. One elbow did come broken but it came with many extra parts. I was able to replace the elbow and everything worked. I would recommend attaching all the blue taps to the tube connectors to hold them in place. Seem the instructions lacked that clarification. I looked around for a unit and took a big risk buying this product with zero reviews at the time, worried it would not work good. Most positive points are, one it is made in the USA, it is half the price of units that do not even come close to its rating. Two you are getting quality drinking water. RO/DI water is not safe to drink its too pure, you need a mineral filter which this unit has. I will be making my money back in no time. Third buying point is filters are cheap you can get 3 year supply for 50-60 bucks. ARE you kidding me, I am so sick of other companies over pricing their filters this company is keeping it legit. As for the new 1 star review for not coming with things you normally have to buy separate with most units or pay 300+ for, its crazy amazon even allowed that review because they never advertise it came with those. I can not see anyone who seriously wants to save money and making 0! TDS water for their reef tank being unhappy. If you need an auto shutoff, float switch, or meter you can pick all those up fairly cheaply and the tubing is universal. WHAT A GREAT BUY and I am very thankful I took the risk with zero reviews at the time. Keep it real LiquaGen, I like your homemade booklet too it was insightful, but may want to make sure to point out to connect the blue taps to the pipe connectors for us laymen.

Great product!
8 year update. Still works great! Have changed out filters every once in awhile! No leaks. Nothing has become brittle or broke over the years. I have added a pressure gauge and that's what I use to gauge changing the filters. Bottom filters changed atleast once a year. The drinking water filter above the bottom 3 have changed out twice. And haven't had to change out the 0 tds filter. It works I don't even check the TDS or EC except once every other month or when I remember now! Needed one for my hydroponic setup. Using well water out here and it was 350ppm and after using the unit is down to 0! The drinking water side of the unit seems in the blind test trials the family chose this unit over the one we had installed. Built to last. No cheap feel to it. Used the tech number provided, fast and friendly help. Quick and easy install. Use the blue clips they provide. Overall great unit and replacement filters are priced good! Small footprint compared to the one installed under the sink. A few extra addons like a float and automatic shutoff valve really compliments this kit. Update a year later and it has been performing flawlessly! Has been used to fill 60 to 100 gallons a day. No problems! 2 years! What can I say I have changed the filters and they still looked brand new! Family still pefers this RO system. My plants love it! It is a great product. No signs of it becoming brittle no discoloration in the clear filter housings. No leaks. Overall awesome product! Prices on single replacement filters have gone up in price. Cheaper to buy the bulk 6 filter kit. Still filling up a 330gal tank a month hasn't slowed it down.

Works fast!! Taste great!!! Plants love it!! Fish love it!!! I love it!!
Works good to remove all impurities from water. My only issue was having to take apart the entire unit and replace the thread tape because after hooking it up everything that was put together by the manufacturer leaked. It was simple to fix and there is a small amount of Teflon tape included to fix it with but it seems like any connections made at the store or during manufacturing should be tight and should not leak. Either don't partially assemble this unit before shipping or make sure it don't leak if you are gonna partially assemble. Otherwise the unit works great and once it's been fully taken apart and replaced with thread tape to stop any leaks it is perfect. It makes a 5 gallon bucket of 0 TDS Water in 90mins and it has the mineralization and pH filters for drinking water (it taste like Dasani Ro water). This unit would be very easy to install if it didn't require to be taken apart and resealed. It took 5 mins to screw a splitter on my washer supply line and install this unit in my utility room. Then it took 30 mins taking it apart wrapping all the(pre-installed) fittings with tape and then reinstalling.

If you're buying for a saltwater aquarium...
I bought this for my reef tank. If you don't want to make drinking water you can get the 5 stage unit. I removed the water cartridge. Checked the tubing connections, pretty easy to follow where everthing belongs. The first DI cartrige that came with the unit was not 100% full of resin. Make sure you check that. You can buy extra. It only made about 40 gallons of 0 TDS water, then I had to shake to get the resin to flow properly. Finally I bought a extra cartridge and it made 90 gallons of 0 TDS water with no problem. If you don't know it takes a while and you'll go through about 3 gallons of waste water to make a gallon. This was for a empty tank. Now that I'll only be doing water changes I won't need to produce so much water. I've seen some have questioned the waste water valve. Open it to flush the RO membrane, otherwise close and the constant flow is the waste water that will need to be drained the entire time making water. Nice unit, clean and easy to maintain.

15 minute install
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this gizmo was to set up. Fifteen minutes and I was running water through it. Not their fault it took me two and a half hours to put a Y valve on my washing machine inlet pipe in the washroom. After that, it was a breeze. Ran the flush for 30 minutes per the instructions and presto, RO-DI water. Three unfortunates I noticed. One, the filters are not NSF certified. Makes me wonder why? Two, if you plan to mount it on a wall, there are no mounting screws. The bracket is there but no screws. I thought that was a bit cheezy on the manufacturer’s part. Three, the 1/4” hoses, red, blue, black and white, are way too short. I’m going to have to replace them all except the red one due to the distance from my incredibly difficult to install Y valve and where I plan to mount the gizmo once I go buy mounting screws from the hardware store. Seriously fellas, how much would a couple of screws and some wall anchors have cost you? Twenty cents?

Great RO, Great price
If you are looking to buy an RO for the first time I'm sure your head is spinning from trying to figure out what one will work best for you. I have this one connected in my laundry room vs ones that fill a small reservoir under the sink. In the picture you can see I just diverted cold water from my washing machine. This one has no reservoir that stores water for ease in filling up a few glasses of water at a time. Its a slow dribble, HOWEVER, I'm able to fill large water containers which I have for both my plants (0 ppm), and my drinking water (50ish ppm). Usually takes about an hour and a half or so to fill a 7 gallon water container. I installed a float valve (super easy) inside my containers to auto shutoff when they are filled. This is a great product, and I would recommend for gardeners, and those looking to stop drinking well water.

Instruction manual is incomplete
The initial unit hook up was clearly incorrect but the instructions about correct tube installation are vague as if the creators of the product either needed to keep it a secret or themselves had no clue how this thing is supposed to be installed. I will have to figure it out through trial and error and hopefully the whole thing won't blow up in my face literally and figuratively.

A Perfect RO/DI System That Works Perfectly for Reef Tanks!
For the price this is an amazing RO/DI unit. I put a TDS meter on it and it easily reduces the inbound 190 PPM of my city water to 0 after the DI stage. After the final carbon/ALK filter it rises to 19 PPM with a PH of 8.6 and ALK of 9.4. A tad high for a reef tank but the PH will come down in storage. Setup was straight forward, although the supplied feed and waste lines are very short. Please keep this in mind if mounting more than a foot or two from the water spigot and drains, otherwise you will need to purchase extra hoses. My only complaints with it were none of the hose barbs, and retaining clips were installed, and the DI and ALK filters were installed backwards. I had to get teflon tape and replumb it, I can't knock that for how well it performs. With 50PSI on the inlet this unit will filter 5 gallons through all 6 stages in about 40 minutes.
