Sello Rojo Tradicional Medium Roast Ground Coffee, 16 oz

In my opinion out of all the coffee that comes out of Colombia this is the best one for morning coffee. It is smooth, rich and delicious. They perfected the roasting process at a commercial scale so that you get that small batch taste. I was at an agriculture Expo and they were showcasing their roasting process and how they wash and sun dry the beans then age for a bit before roasting just the right amount to preserve that fresh taste.

Very good coffee I really enjoyed it I like my coffee strong this is pretty strong but there's one that's stronger that they make I've tried that one too and that one's good I love strong coffee.

I love this coffee, and even though I don't love cleaning the coffee pot, this coffee makes it worth it!

After trying to reduce the high acidity of Folgers coffee with small amounts of baking soda, I decided to try using Sello Rojo coffee instead, since it has a naturally low acidity. I mix an 8 oz half bag of Sello Rojo with half of a 40.3 oz canister of Folgers Classic Roast Ground Coffee, Medium Roast, to mellow out the acidity of the Folgers. It makes an excellent low acidic blend of coffee!

I bought this for the house and absolutely love it! Sello Rojo Tradicional Medium Roast Ground Coffee fills the whole house with a delicious aroma when brewed, and it tastes just as amazing. The flavor is rich and smooth—perfect black or with milk. Highly recommend!

I bought one pound of the medium roast grounds, not the beans.For the brew I used a 1:14 ratio (20g coffee, 280g water) pour-over recipe that has won a world title. It’s the same recipe that I use for Community Coffee Breakfast Blend grounds.The Community product is simply excellent for the price (a bit more than regular supermarket coffees, though it can be found in some supermarkets, but much cheaper than a specialty coffee. I tried Sello Roja out of curiosity and it was a mistake.The Sello Roja was not even the equivalent of an undistinguished supermarket brand like Folgers.Opening the bag I could immediately tell I had wasted my coffee money. The odor, what there was of it, was not that fine coffee odor you get from even low-grade ground coffee. It was subdued and burnt.The brew itself was strong, which I like, but bitter (which never occurs with Community Breakfast Blend), nor in any way complex. And the taste was like that from a burnt roast coffee. In brief, I would never consider purchasing Sello Roja again.I’ve read that Sello Roja is the most popular coffee brand in Columbia. I don’t know if that is true, but in any event I feel that the coffee drinkers there who use it are in for a huge surprise if they ever taste good coffee.
