This is a well-made lamp and it looks great in the massage room in my healing center. It was easy to assemble. I like that it has 3 settings, for 2, 3 or 5 lights on. I turned the shades up so the light would be softer reflected off the ceiling. The first time the warehouse attempted to ship the lamp, there was a snafu with FedEx, but after contacting the seller, they got another lamp on the way quickly. It arrived in a timely manner. I recommend this lamp and this seller.

It was easy to put together and adjust the arms as we like. So far everyone that has seen it in our living room have said something good about it. We really like it and it gives out jusst the right amount of light - which is adjustable 2 lights on, or 3 lights on, or all 5 lights. So happy we purchased this.

Well this item was bought some time ago so perhaps it's different now....of course I've no idea... but the one we got is still going strong and its great and retro styled very sturdy. It's been moved around a few homes and the thing is still perfectly fine with the assembling, disassembling... It's a great light. We ended up getting LED bulbs for it. Sturdy light. Bulky footprint. Note big base size. If it's still made as it was when we bought it, aint nothin ganna accidentally knock it over. Not a big excited dog or roomba attack or earthquake (unless its a big one and may that not happen)

I purchased this lamp over 8 months ago, and it still works great. Before you consider this item, though, make sure your ceilings are high enough. Our ceilings are extremely high, so this was not an issue for us. This lamp had to be assembled - my husband made it look easy. Ours came with light bulbs - they're kind of hidden in the box, so make sure you don't throw them away. The dimmer-type switch makes it easy to turn the light to the brightness you require. For those of you who aren't used to incandescent light bulbs, I will warn you that you can get a bit warm in the summer sitting on the couch under this light. In the winter, it's great! I suppose one could simply change to a different bulb type, if they didn't want the heat. Or, put it in a corner of a room, where it doesn't hang above furniture. My only complaint is that my 'arms' have to be straightened every so often to keep them evenly spaced. This probably won't be an issue for most people, but our couch has the flip-up cushion that hides a fold-away-table. When we flip the cushion up, it bumps the lamp, causing the arms to readjust themselves. I wish there was a way to tighten the arms, so that they would be more stationary. The base is heavy, so this lamp is not 'tippy'. That's not to say that I would recommend any floor lamp around young children, as children have a habit of climbing and exploring in unpredictable ways - this lamp works great behind furniture until the kids outgrow their shinanigens. For regular use; however, this is a very sturdy & stable floor lamp anywhere you would choose to place it. If it gets bumped, the arms may sway a bit, but it seems very stable. It's not 'top heavy.' I should also mention that the base, while sturdy, isn't as attractive as the rest of the lamp. It's not an issue for us, due to where we've placed the lamp. I wouldn't say it's ugly, it's just kind of... well, not decorative? I wouldn't hesitate to have it show in my home, because I'm more about comfort than looks, but if you're more artistic than I am, the base of this lamp just isn't going to trip your trigger. Although, I'm sure someone with artistic talent could find a creative way to conceal it :-) We have been asked where we got this lamp, so we have recommended it to others. We use it regularly and are very happy with it. A lot of light with a very small 'footprint'. Do be careful who you order this from. While ours arrived in perfect condition, we have heard of others who were not so lucky. So, make sure whoever you order from packages thing well & has a good exchange/return policy - check those seller ratings before you order this one :-)

I ordered this floor lamp even after reading some low ratings. Over all it sounded like what I wanted. It was not damaged other than one light bulb that was crushed and not usable but we didn't use the bulbs that came with it. We purchased LED 20 watt bulbs and are very happy with the lighting out put. It lights that entire area of the room. I was a little disappointed that it doesn't use a standard 40 W bulb but the bulbs we bought work nicely. The light itself was very simple to assemble. It is quite tall but it fits nicely into our living room. We have a modular home and our ceilings are somewhat vaulted at the center of the house. This light fits behind my recliner perfectly. I guess my only complaint is that the entire unit is so tall all you see are the lightbulbs themselves. The black dome shade really isn't visible when the lights are on. Im still very happy with my purchase tho. I would purchase this lamp again. I'm attaching a couple of photo that may help you decide if this light is for you or not

I had a difficult time picking out the right lamp, but I am so glad I purchased this one. I read all the reviews and I was still having a hard time. But if you have an xbox Kinect, this is the lamp for you! We have the kinect and the main issue was that we do not have any ceiling light, the only lamp we had was a torch light that was behind our couch. The kinect could not recognize us. Yes it would work, but it just wasnt the same. I ordered this lamp. It came a lot faster than was predicted so we had it in time. Putting it together, I took all the pieces out and took my time, it really did not take long, but I wanted to make sure I did it right, since I had read a review about someone who broke the base. It was easy to put together. When I put the arms on, it did touch the ceiling and a bit overwhelming at first. Once I spread them out, I gently pulled on each one, from the highest point before the shade, GENTLY, until each one was within an inch of ceiling but no longer touching it. after about 24 hours I noticed it relaxed a bit. I love it because it is perfect lighting for the kinect and it has a dimmer on it so i dont have to have stage light if I dont want it.

This floor lamp wound up being exactly what we needed. After reading several reviews, we decided to take a chance and we have no regrets. It looks nice in the corner of our living room behind our sectional. The height was a bit of a worry, since there were so many different measurements stated by so many customers, anywhere from 7.5 to 9 feet tall. Ours turns out to be 7.5 feet high installed, about 1 foot from the ceiling, just what we were hoping for. Delivery was extremely fast, and installation was relatively easy, although at first we weren't exactly sure which arm should point in which direction, but it was fairly obvious in the end. You can tell by looking at it from the front if it looks tangled or straight. A few negatives; as with several other customers, 1 bulb was broken. If the bubble wrap was thicker, i'm sure this minor problem would be solved. Also, the finish on the light domes seems a bit uneven, almost as if they didn't apply enough paint, in this case black, to some of the domes. But it's really not that noticeable since the lamp is high enough to conceal it. Finally, the base seemed a bit 'dirty', and we had to wipe it down with some soapy water, which did the trick. For the positives, the construction seems very decent and for the price of this unit, we have to say that this is in fact the best deal we could have had from what we shopped around for. Really good quality/price ratio. Also, the design of this lamp is especially good in the corner, as it avoids blocking any frames on the wall, and it fans out from one side to the other which gives it a nice look.

I saw a lamp like this many many years ago and always wanted one just like it. I was so happy to find this! It's perfect for locating behind my round sectional and hanging over the cushioned area for great lighting from above. One tip I have is that the assembly instructions are stuffed inside one of the small bulb reflectors, which are packaged inside a smaller box contained within the whole package. A stupid place to put them, if you ask me. That's the last piece to go on...so I ended up thinking there just weren't instructions. I've assembled more than my fair share of things over the years, so I managed to figure it out, and then of course found the instructions after I was done. :/ Anyways...note also that the base is quite heavy and takes up a fair amount of floor space (for obvious reasons) - I did have to move my sectional several inches out from the wall and the angle is not quite what it should be at, but I made it fit. You'll basically want to ensure you have about 2'x2' space on your floor for the base. Oh, and it's a dimmer - so if it feels too bright I can soften it, or if I'm needing to see what I'm doing, I can pump it up. All in all I love it - exactly what I wanted.

Very good lamp. It came with one knob missing for tightening the lamp shades. Some please say that the arms are adjustable. I personally don't understand how they did it but I like the very high arms. I placed the lamp behind my PC desk. It arches high above the monitors and lights up the entire work space evenly and very well. I suggest it if you don't mind going out to find one or two missing pieces.

Much larger than I expected. When I bought it and was setting it up I thought I bought a street light for the city! I also thought the arms were adjustable down which they are not. You need a large area for it. Works well and looks great. I especially like that the dimmer switch is fully adjustable, it is like a wall dimmer switch not like most which just have high med low. The dimming is fully adjustable. It does come with lights. I replaced the lights with compatible E12 LED dimmable and they dim fine.
