Speed Control C.EMX-1 Table Top For Series TX &TXH - LX & LXH Motor Foredom 115v

I have two Foredom graders. An SR and Tx. I used both for these two for woodcarving. I no longer do much woodcarving but now testors and sharpener knives. I never used a speed controller on the Tx. Since most of all of my work is done at a constant speed I’ve added this speed control. It makes it much easier to use since I don’t have to concentrate on foot pedal pressure. I can say though I would NOT recommend this controller if using aggressive bits for grinding on wood or metal. It can be very dangerous to your work or soft tissue.

I was worried that I would not be able to control the foot pedal sufficiently to use the hammer handpiece I had recently purchased so I purchased the table top speed control. I love it for using with the hammer handpiece.

I bought a Foredom kit that included the adjustable foot pedal. Don't get me wrong, the foot pedal is well constructed and works as advertised. However, I've found that I use the speed control more often.I only wish that it calibrated by RPM, since most carving accessories are rated by RPM.Also, unlike the foot pedal, which is cast metal, the table top speed control is plastic. That hasn't been an issue, since I have yet to drop something on the control unit.

Needed this for constant cutting speed. The foot pedal was too difficult to control for the precision cuts I am making. Works perfectly.
