With a male dog it's not easy to do up the zipper - but the press fasteners work fine.

Let me start by saying that my dog has a closet full of clothing, so I know his proportions very well. The sizing on this coat is not as marked. The description states, “The measurements on the sizing chart also reflects the dimensions of the coat itself.” That is completely untrue. My dog is just under 14” long and the medium (which is said to actually be 16.5” comes about half an inch short of his tail. At about 13.5” long, it is a huge discrepancy from what is marked.With that said, the chest measurement looks to be close to what is marked, because my dog’s 17” chest comes nowhere close to filling it out. It’s really a shame that the chest area isn’t at all adjustable, yet the already short length is. For a coat at this price point, that is a major oversight. This coat seems to be made for a short stout body type like a Frenchie.Additionally, the harness hole (admittedly, like far too many dog jackets) is absurdly small and would need modifications to be usable. I wish more dog coats would take a cue from brands like Hurtta, which have generous harness openings with an upper flap to shield from the elements along with many points of fit adjustability.The positives: This coat is the perfect thickness for Northeast spring weather, with a bit of heft to stave off a chill. The sleeves offer coverage while still being easy to get on. The over zipper flap also looks like it offers an additional level of dryness protection—if only the chest area wasn’t laughably huge to allow water in.I sized up to a medium based on recommendations here and knowing that my dog often gets a better fit for length when sizing up. But I plan to try a small. But I imagine that the chest will still be large and the length will be shorter than desired. If it’s any better than anticipated I will be back to update.Edit: As expected, the small was far too short to be useful as a raincoat.

My dog prefers wearing the raincoat over getting all his hair wet. When he was a puppy, he wore Ellie’s Yellow raincoat, but he grew out. So his hooman got him a red one this time. Once again, he enjoys super positive comments and 💕 from hoomans on the street. He looks wicked sharp in Red!The materials (cloth for the coat, buttons, cords) are high quality, and sewing is done perfectly.Though, I make one suggestion and that is to have a choice in a size of a hat. So like he wears a size M raincoat with a size L rain hat attached! I suppose it must be difficult to design and produce the most fitting hat for all sorts of dogs. I mean naturally each dog, even in the same dog category, has a different shape of head from one another. Perhaps my dog has a bigger head than other medium sized dogs... so, the coat fits perfectly but the hat doesn’t cover his head nicely and securely, unless I pull the cord to the point the hat covers his 👀.Anyways, both my dog and his hooman are happy with the beautiful raincoat!Thank you so much for producing awesome product.

Omg I love this raincoat so much ❤️. I got this raincoat as a gift for a dog I take care of & walk. & I got to say Teddy 🐶 looks Amazing in it. Before buying I made sure to check the size chart & measure him. He is a 20lb Bichon-Poodle Mix & I got him a size Medium in Red & it fits perfectly !! BEFORE BUYING MAKE SURE TO MEASURE YOUR DOG & TO CHECK THE SIZE CHART BECAUSE ITS ACCURATE ‼️ Like for Teddy when I had to measure his back I already knew that if wouldn’t cover him completely but it’s not that much off. The medium was the best fit according to his neck & chest measurement. I also Love the material, by touching it you can tell it’s good quality that will last so that’s a plus. To me it was a bit pricey but it is totally worth it & the quality = the price . I highly recommend to any doggie Parents, & I’m even going to buy this raincoat again for my own two Shih tzu pups but in the gray & red color 😍, I will be back with a review once more after I order it ☺️

This is a really good quality raincoat! I was looking for something that was high quality (it's pricy, but she will wear it her whole life) that had good coverage of underbelly. My dog is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and she's low to the ground. Any time she goes outside and it's wet, her entire underside gets really wet and dirty. This jacket is built to cover most of her underside and is very fashionable as well! Sizing was the only difficult part. She is 15 pounds, 10 1/2" neck, 17" chest, 17" length. Sizing instructions said to size up if it's close to allow for comfort as this item doesn't stretch at all. According to measurements, she's a size XS, but I sized up to a S. It fits her, but just barely and is tight enough to be a bit restricting and uncomfortable. I also wish it was a little longer to cover more. Going to order a M to see if it fits better. Overall, I love it!

Good weight for wet fall and light winter. Affords good rain protection, especially on belly. The from leg “sleeves” were easy, once we got her securely sitting on only back haunches. Zip and/or snaps work well. It washes well; I try to dry it inside out. My rating is for the coat! The hood doesn’t serve the head of my cavalier— falls into eyes, no place for ears. Can’t figure how elastic helps. I wish it had a reflective tape at neck or dots somewhere.

I really like the dog raincoat from Ellie. It appears to be made of good quality and very stylish. Its thick enough to be durable yet light enough to be flexible. My Maltese, Puka, took a little bit of time to get used to the coat and break it in but other wise seems wear it just fine.My only issue with the item was the size guide didn't lead me to pick the correct size originally. I went by the measurements and ended up getting too small and had to return for bigger size which wasn't too big of a deal. Overall I am very satisfied with the product.

The raincoat fits perfectly except for the hood. I love the quality and the colour and it really kept Whiskey dry. Now he don’t have to miss his walks on rainy days.

Loved the fabric and the design. However, the xs would not go near my small cavoodle, so got the s size. This is too large on the chest, but ok elsewhere. Will adapt the front to fit as it keeps him dry.
