I bought this converter to connect an older device that only had RCA outputs to my modern TV, and it worked perfectly. Setup was super easy — just plug in the cables and it’s ready to go. The picture looks clear, the sound comes through without issues, and the 720p/1080p switch is a nice bonus. For the price, it delivers exactly what I needed. Very practical and reliable. Arrived in days. Bought to regift an item that has not been used in more than 6 years because the newer televisions do not have the proper connection. I have connected the device (old game) and am so pleased to report that IT WORKS! I will add that it did not work the at first. Then realized that the game had batteries that needed to be changed.

This is awesome for all the newer TVs that do not have the wii connection! OMG It works like a charm Im so glad I choose this connector. We have been having so much fun playing the wii games the console was sitting in a box for like 3 years 🤣 I cleaned it off and its like brand new!

Converts Old Tech Smoothly, But With Some Limitations I’ve been using the RuiPuo RCA to HDMI converter to breathe new life into some older gear—mainly a VHS player and an older game console. Setup was simple: plug in the RCA cables on one side, HDMI on the other, and power it via USB. Within a minute I had my VHS tapes playing on a modern flat-screen TV. The picture quality is about what you’d expect: it doesn’t magically turn an old analog signal into crisp HD, but it does a solid job scaling up to 720p/1080p without distortion. For VHS, that means a soft but stable image, and for game consoles like the PS2, it’s very playable. One thing to keep in mind is that this converter doesn’t improve sound clarity much—older VHS audio can still sound muffled, and I noticed a faint background hum if the USB power source wasn’t clean. A powered USB adapter worked better than plugging into the TV’s USB port. Also, the build quality feels lightweight, not flimsy but definitely “budget box” level. I wouldn’t recommend it for frequent unplugging/replugging, but once in place, it does its job well. Bottom line: A handy and inexpensive bridge between old and new tech. Great if you want to rewatch VHS tapes or revisit retro consoles, but don’t expect a dramatic leap in video or audio quality.

i got this to play wii on my projector and it works almost perfectly. the signal occasionally gets interrupted, but considering the age of my wii, i dont think this adapter is the problem. very self explanatory to set up too. great value.

Easy to install. Converts vhs to HDMI. Connects to tv and works as described

Works excellently, only thing I don't like is that you have to plug power into it as well as the AVI/HDMI cord.

1. Please note that the red white and yellow component hook ups are female ends, not male. 2. I cannot get the device to work. IVHS, DVD, and video eight devices work on this TV using component cables. However, when I try to use this converter and the HDMI input on the TV, there’s no sound and no video. 3. I have unplugged everything, used different male to make cables to attach the video player to the female ends of the cable for this device, and re-plugged everything in, and it still doesn’t work. 4. The user manual has almost no information. 5. Trying to reach the seller through Amazon only brings me to a self-help type of webpage. It’s a limited value, including suggestions that are not applicable to this device, such as turning it off and on or hitting a reset button. There’s no place on the device for on and off or reset. 6. Since I can’t reach the seller, I’ll wait and see if they respond to this review and post a correction if that happens and the device works.

This product works better than I expected in converting RCA feed to HDMI, recommend it to Wii users.

i compared this to my professional Analog to digital upscaler the framemeister and did not look good compared or to the naked eye. the picture is either too bright or too dark so its not good for home vhs videos so if it didnt do this and had a balanced colour and brightness i would say buy this item but i highly recommend not buying this product
