It was the antenna and not the receiver. Aside from that, they work great as 1/4 wave antenna. I use them for both instruments and mics. For instruments I use it with a standup bass with an SLX1 body back. I was not sure if it would work correctly as I read that longer wavelengths needed longer antennas for better transfer. I am not sure if that refers to what is encapsulated in the frequency or the frequency itself. Because of this, it was only a matter of time before they were dropped and lost somewhere. When this happened I hoped to find a replacement quickly. These as replacements function just as well as the originals (if not better in terms of ability) and also allow me to keep attached to the camera when I put it away in the case. These worked fine. My only complaint is that while there is a "flattened" area to stop the BNC bulkhead connectors from rotating in the hole (the hole has the same "flat" shape), it was not deep enough (or the tolerance of the hole was not tight enough) for the connectors to stay tight.
