Green Filter 7159 Green High Performance Air Filter

What a difference 60$ makes. I've put aftermarket air filters on my vehicles before (K&N), but they've never made such a night and day difference in sound as this one does. Construction is solid, no rips or tears, and installation is super easy, even if you have little/no experience with mods. I installed it over my lunch break in roughly 5 minutes. Once installed, you'll actually hear and feel the turbo spool, and you'll hear the stock bypass valve recirculating air when you let off the throttle, both of which always put a smile on my face. The car feels like it breaths better and the turbo spools faster, but as someone who speculates just how much an aftermarket air filter contributes to additional HP and TQ (looking at you K&N with your ridiculous claims of 30hp gains), I unfortunately don't have dyno numbers to prove the difference. TLDR: Love cool turbo whoosh noises? Buy it. You won't regret it.

This filter was a great buy. It's been over a year, and it has performed perfectly. I clean the filter when I change my oil. No degradation after two cleanings. You do need to purchase a spray on oil made by Green Filter to apply after cleaning the filter.

Does what it says it'll do, throttle feels more responsive, gas mileage seems to have slightly improved by 1-2/mpg. Installed this one on a 2017 Ford Focus SE 1L 3-cylinder with a turbo. Some may love the slightly modified sound of their engine's wheezes and whines while sucking in oxygen with this less restrictive air filter on, and some may get a little annoyed by it. Pic is installed with an open airbox and third-gen Focus snorkel delete. Snorkel will always stay off, but I may put the filter box top back on intending to drown out the accentuated airflow sounds, and then again I may not and just get used to it. If the filter airbox is closed up, there's still a 4" open end that faces away from the motor to the cool side of the engine bay (the stock filter is closed up on the end) + the OEM intake port getting fresh air with the restrictive snorkel removed. It's great, just not perfect, but YMMV.

The Focus ST doesn't need much upgrading as far as the intake goes. The tubing flows just fine from the factory and fits better than nearly any other aftermarket intake tube. The only thing to really upgrade is a new drop in filter such as this Green filter. The Green filter is a direct swap for the stock paper filter and helps your car breathe a little easier when you start tuning. The stock filter is a paper media, closed end filter. The Green filter is a two layer cotton filter with an open cone end. The stock airbox has a hole where the end of the filter sits, so the Green filter opens up that entire area to pull in air aside from just flowing better in the first place. This also has the side effect of making your turbo whistle and BPV much louder in stock form, an enjoyable plus! The only other thing that could really help improve the intake is an aftermarket snorkel to add more fresh ram air from the front. Adding this filter opens the end up which means more warm engine air can get in, but others as well as myself have done testing and proved temperatures between the stock filter, the Green filter, and the Green filter with no airbox lid are mostly negligible. I feel like the snorkel would be about the only thing that would help lower that, but with a good intercooler it's not much concern.

I drive a 2013 Ford Focus ST and it's Everything I hoped for. Had a stock filter, switched to this high performance filter and it is great. Personally, I noticed a slight increase in throttle response, and high end power. If you're looking for a power adder, this isn't the ideal product, but it does help your car breathe ALOT better. The best part about this filter is the INDUCTION NOISE AND OH MAN is it sweet. Turbo sounds come through alot clearer and louder and you get more spool noise when boost kicks in. I run this without the factory intake lid, because this filter comes with a 'O' clamp to bite onto the intake piping. With the lid, there is still noise but to maximise noise I run it without. Expectations were met and I do reccomend this filter.

I have Focus ST 2017 its fit it and turbo sound is very nice , I recommend anyone have Focus ST to buy it
