What size tubing does this use?

Thanks for your interest. The owners manual says the model 100 uses 1/2" connections and it says the 200 and 300 uses 2/3" connections. Not exactly sure what that translates into in UL or MM but that is what the owners manual says, 2/3" connections. Nate at Practical Garden Ponds 484-237-2080

An aqurium salesman told me that having an internal heater would keep the beneficial bacteria from growing inside. Is this true?
