Connected my Playstation PS4 optical audio out to some PC 5.1 speakers

I did not buy this here but the same looking item I bought quicker elsewhere from W-Mart.I have an old set of Klipsch 5.1 speakers for a PC that have two 2-channel input cables: Front L&R and Rear L&R. (It fabricates the subwoofer .1 channel from the contents on these 2 input cables).I wanted to connect my Playstation PS4 to it which only has a digital optical out. This box converted the signals for me from the PS4 5.1 to a Front L/R and Rear L/R. I also used the Center out (which is 1-channel) and got a Y adapter to plug into the Center, which is a stereo 2-channel to mono L and R in the adapter cable, this is to pick off the mono signal and feed it into the Front 2 speakers (I don't have a separate Center speaker to use).Worked great! I do wish it had a volume control or a Left/Right balance or a Front/Rear but that is too much to expect from this box I would say.
