Excellent basic coverage of all aspects of family therapy.
This is an excellent book that covered all basics about doing family therapy that I can think of. It also had many resources such as useful web pages, books, research aarticles, and screening instruments for 12 different situations. I plan to read many of the articles mentioned in their references as they stimulated my appetite to learn more. I’ve been blessed to have been trained by Virginia Satir, and I think this book was just as rich an experience. I highly recommend it!

It depends on what you are looking for
I was hoping it would give me specific interventions, case vignettes illustrating different theoretical orientations, however this book doesn’t do that. It gives you a run down of what you need to have in place as if you are opening up your own private practice.
