Replacement Parts for Roomba 500/600/700/800/900 Series Front Wheel/Caster Assembly

I have a Roomba 805 and this does not work for it. You can see in the picture that the narrow part of the shaft on this new part is fairly longer than the OEM part. This causes the assembly to sit deeper into the Roomba and ends up locking and prohibits this part from spinning with the weight of the vacuum on it. Roomba just wobbles back and forth because this won’t rotate with direction.

I’ve been pretty disappointed with this wheel replacement. Looks very similar to the wheel that came with my roomba but performs very poorly. The metal rod that goes through the wheel and snaps in to the plastic part can come completely out of the wheel. Original doesn’t do this. Since this happens, hair gets wrapped and trapped like crazy. I have a golden retriever and her hair gets all wrapped up in the wheel and I can imagine causes friction when my roomba is rolling around my wood floor. I won’t reorder wheel part from this company again.

There was nothing wrong with the one that came with our Roomba, but we wanted a spare since it was an older one. My husband put on the new front wheel anyway, and we were surprised when it started running. It was faster and finished in less time than the old one. Not so fast that it didn't do the job, but so much more efficient now.

This wheel works fine. The problem is that the axle assembly does not have anything to keep debris from getting in between it and the inside cylinder of the wheel. The original was sealed which is a better design. I find that this one collects debris which causes it to be harder to clean and more likely to jam. It also causes it to squeak sometimes.

My Roomba 585 was having issues. The front wheel wasn't spinning freely. When I removed it to clean it, it would not remain seated in the housing. It is easy to remove the whole assembly since it just pops out with a bit of prying.When I installed the new wheel, it didn't pivot as freely as the original. Upon closer examination, there was excess plastic flash on the metal shaft where it fits into the sleeve of the main body. A minor quality control issue.I used a small nail file to cut the excess flash off and expose the shaft fully. Once installed it worked as good as new!It remains to be seen if it wears as good as the original but it seems good so far.

Bought this for my Roomba 690. It immediately fell out. I contacted seller about it and asked for help. Got this reply:I'm sorry that it brought you a bad experience, yes, it is suitable for 690. Please try again, if not, please returnI don’t know. Maybe I’m picky but I feel like if you say it’s going to work in certain models, it should work in those models. Ruined my Christmas gift for my mother and am very disappointed with customer service as well.Buyer beware.

It was cheap and made of plastic, not cast iron like the original part that comes with a Romba. I will not be buying anything from this company again.

Roomba 805 running like new again! Old wheel was stuffed with hair in every possible spot to the point that the wheel didn’t turn and had worn a flat spot on the wheel. Popped a new wheel in and we’re back on track!
