KONG Wild Antler Toy, Large/X-Large

My dog loves to chew on the split antler from the end of this toy. While the rope held up to his chewing better than any other rope toy we've ever purchased he was still able to liberate the antler in under a week. The rope did not shred though and it still mostly intact. Our dog still likes to play with the rope from time to time so I guess we got two toys in one, but I am still disappointed that it didn't last as one toy a bit longer. For the Kong name it did hold up better than others, just not as well as I had hoped.

My 1.8 yr old Siberian Husky loves this! She isn't an aggressive chewer so this is the perfect chew toy. She isn't really interested in the rope. She just uses it as a handle to carry it around. This is her first antler ever, which is why I wanted to get this particular item. The rope stops her from freely chewing on the antler and makes her figure out other angles to chew on it. The rope definitely isn't the sturdiest, so aggressive chewers beware.

Our dog absolutely loved this toy! However, we kind of expect it to last a little bit longer than it actually did. It was gone in less than a week.

Having the antler split and drilled to accommodate the rope is so smart! It forced my dog to gnaw more slowly, making the toy last longer. Once she started breaking off the end of the antler, I just untied the knots, removed what was left of the antler, and now we have a safe, tough tug toy, too. We're on the second one now and the first lasted several weeks.

Anyone who wonders what is the difference between the small/medium and the large/extra-large, need wonder no longer. They are exactly the same except the rope on the "smaller" one is about 1/16 of an inch smaller in diameter. Otherwise they are exactly the same so save the $3.00 and get the "smaller" one. My dog loves this toy and it lasts for a couple of weeks before the antler is all chewed away.

The role didn’t last a Day & we have a lab. Still have the antler though that seems to last forever.

Extremely overpriced. I have started to order the Jim Hodges XL Antler dog chews which is literally 12inches long and the same price. This product is only 3inches at best and is split. Research and get the better product for your price which we know is humanly harvested from naturally shed antlers.
