Good old Afro-Sheen (smile), now, Ultra Sheen, always was sold in stores, as I was growing up in the late '70s and into the '80s. Beauticians told me don't buy it, though, since they said it's "too heavy" for anyone's hair. Nah! It might be too heavy on expensive, permed/straightened/faux hair that beauticians sell to many African-American women like me. But it's my friend, as I use it now for my naturally dry scalp and coarse hair! I use it daily now, since leaving beauticians, and their permanent hair chemicals, flat irons, and straightening combs. Ultra Sheen keeps me happy to be nappy, as it penetrates my very dry scalp that may still be recovering from those many bad chemicals beauticians sold me during most of my life! It brings luster and natural taming power to my real, unprocessed hair! I apply a little to my scalp every day, massage it through my scalp and hair, and brush and comb my hair, without any tugging or breakage! Ultra Sheen is affordable, and it absorbs well into my very dry scalp and hair everyday. I don't use globs of it, just dabs, since I don't want my hair to feel greasy to the touch. I wash my hair every 2 weeks, as I used to pay my beauticians to do. I quickly grease my scalp with Ultra Sheen after washings, though, since my scalp craves penetrating Ultra Sheen! Ultra Sheen is a good friend, to anyone like me, who has natural, dry and nappy hair!

After spending hundreds of dollars on prescription strength shampoos for head lice, I finally got some of this ultra sheen and used a hairdryer to heat it and spread through hair. The combination of heat in the ultra sheen hair product helped get rid of the lice and the eggs, and made the hair healthier and shinier. Great product ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have used this product for years and it is still very effective and good for my hair. I can only find it here on Amazon. Thank you for still carrying it.

I've been using this since I was a kid. I don't need any fancy, frou-frou "product" for my hair; just give me what works, and this does. It's hard to find in the stores around me, even in the beauty supply stores, so I'm glad ordering it this way is an option. I'm a 58 year-old man. This has worked for me for over half a century, I see no reason to change now.
