Powerbass S1S 1-Inch Silk Dome Tweeters

After auditioning 2 other sets of tweeters from other manufacturers, I installed these in the sail panels of my Veloster. Perfect sounding tweeters for my listening style. Since they are mounted so close to the drivers face, they are still mellow and very pleasing. Doesn't sound like a den of snakes, no hissing, but smooth and subtle. Love the weight of them, the construction and the neat little crossovers supplied with really hefty gauge wires. I have become a champion for Powerbass lately, and will continue to consider their products in future builds. Thanks to Amazon for offering Powerbass to us.

I purchased these to replace the factor tweeters on my Hyundai Veloster. These little guys are awesome and is 10x better than stock. I really didn't think these little guys would make a big difference, but I was amazing how great they sound. If you are installing on a Veloster, you will not use the stock basket, rather you will take the speaker out of its case and then place the double-sided tape to the sides of speaker to secure it. It comes with a nice crossover with easy hookups.

Welp.. I swapped out the stock tweeters on my bronco sport with these, they are a ROYAL PAIN to install, i.e. tearing apart the dash, removing the old tweeters, trying to wire them up with very little slack in the stock wiring and barely getting them squeezed into the existing hole (hint, do NOT use any of their accessories, just the bare speaker!).. your dash trim will NOT snap back down over the tweeters, excpect the corners to be raised. As for the sound, I tried listening with the crossover and without it and while they do sound a little thin and hissy with the crossover, I still rigged them up that way because I can always scale back on the treble and fade the sound to the door and back door speakers.. after all that, they do sound clearer. I should not, I did at the PB 6.5 door speakers (fronts/rears) and they sound A LOT better.. overall, great price and better sounding tweeters BUT a b*tch to swap out and you have to play around a little with the treble and fading, no biggie there.

These tweeters sound great, come in great packaging with separate inline wired crossovers, however my one complaint is the the little "flush" and "angled" mounting pods they come with are sort of cheesy, the tweeters have no sort of stable position they just sort of sit inside of cups... I am very OCD about my cars and I cant get them to just sit symmetrically flat into their cups they always roll a little to one side and look sort of off. They sound great though and some glue could easily fix this or if they are mounted under a door panel it really doesn't matter. Tons of mounting stuff included everything you need to install.

Bought these in December along with some Polk audio speakers. They both blew within 4 months. I realized it a few days ago, who knows how long they've been blown for, but they are gone. Save your money and buy a better pair.

I was looking for an affordable, easy to install, high quality tweeter set and found them! These silk dome tweeters are crystal clear, but without the harshness of hard domes. The included crossovers are set perfectly, so there's no need for a separate crossover control. The installation is also a snap. Just use the speaker outputs and splice them in, or use a small separate amp. If you already have a set of four full-range door speakers, and a powered sub, these are the final piece you need to complete your sound package.

Poor sound quality

Well worth the price paid. Still a 5 star product at double the price. To find a silk dome at this price is not easy. I was a bit skeptical, but they are heavy well built little speakers and sound crisp and clean. They will be a great addition to any system, factory to extreme.
