Work fine, just set fans to lowest speed
This USB to 3/4 pin connector works, but just be aware you will have no PWN control over the fans and they will be set to their lowest RPM setting, which can be a downside for some. But as long as you're aware of that, they work exactly as intended.

A must have for those who like to tinker and come up with their own solutions
These make for a fantastic addition to your collection of adapters. Especially if you like to come up with your own tricks to solving problems. Have an external drive dock that gets a little hot during a clone? Slap a random fan next to it and use one of these to power it up. We do it all the time for this since most docks don't have built-in fans to help compensate for such heat. We just reviewed an external fan for an Xbox that is pretty great, but you could also throw a normal (internal) PC fan on top of the console and use one of these to power it up with. As long as you choose a fan that is whisper-quiet, you'll forget that it is even on. There are so many uses for these, and a lot of them involve random projects that could benefit from a little air. Or, you can simply sit a fan on your desk, point it at your face, and plug it in for some instant cooling during the summer. Let your mind have fun. **If you have found our review helpful, please vote it as helpful below so we know. This helps us to provide quality feedback in the future.

Thought it had more than 2 pins
Works good but I though it would have 3 or 4 pins rather than 2

Home theater receiver cooling
I have this connect to the front panel USB port on my denon receiver to power a computer fan to help exhaust hot air. So far it works great, can feel the fan spinning fast enough to pull out the hot air to exchange cooler air. So far itโs been a few months and the wires have not failed.

Works I guess
Works, Kinda wish it was 4 pin. I dunno if they did that because usb simply cannot supply power for 4 pin, but because of that cpu fans run at a super slow rpm on these cables

Good
Use to power extra cooling to my laptop.

2 pin connector
Maybe I just don't comprehend what "USB to 3 pin/4 pin" means, but these connectors have two (2) pins and they did not help me out at all. It isn't worth my time to even do a return, but this was a waste of money for me.

Not suitable for 4 pin fan
So yeah the listing flat out lies about this usb being able to support a 4 pin fan, do not buy this product.
