The best
Of all of the brands of eye drops I have tried over the years, this one has the longest lasting effect and I found I do not need to use drops as often. It does burn for a few seconds if my eyes are really dry and I waited too long before using it, but that's not a problem since the relief is worth it and I'm used to it from using Restasis.Warning: it will make your eye lashes crusty. I put the drops in, wait a minute or so and then wipe my eyes with Visine eye wipes and that takes care of it. I'm sure any eye wipe will work the same or maybe even just water but if you don't wash away the excess on your lashes they will stick together and make your eyes itch.Yes it's expensive but if you are suffering from dry eyes - this is definitely worth the price.

A Miracle for Me
I have suffered chronically with dry eyes, often resulting in corneal erosions. After a very bad spell that resulted in having my cornea scraped, I discovered these drops. They are worth every penny! After just two days of use, my eyes felt normal for the first time in months. I use them before I go to sleep and they have gotten me through the night for the last four months with no corneal erosions! A miracle for me. Hope they work as well for everyone else. (By the way--in the long run, these drops have saved me money in spite of their high price. Because they work like a miracle, I only use them once before bed--no more buying endless bottles of drops, gels, ointments, etc. Economical from that perspective.)

Effective product, poor packaging, high price.
There are so few truly effective solutions for dry eye problems, but this product is one of the best currently available. It can sting a bit at first, but seems to create more lasting moisture retention. It would be a 5 star product except that--The nozzle gets clogged easily. Clearly has to do with the viscosity of the solution and tiny nozzle opening. This typically happens anywhere from a quarter to half way through the bottle. Only way to unclog it safely is with sterilized needles, a hassle to prepare and do. A real defect in package design, and major waste of product and money.--It's very expensive to use on a daily or ongoing basis.

Great drops but wish you could buy at the store.
These eye drops were recommended by my cornea specialist to treat severe dry eyes and cornea erosion. They have worked better than most of the others I have been asked to use. My only complaint is that you cannot typically purchase them in a store so you have to order them online and standard shipping is really slow and expedited shipping is more than the bottle of drops. One bonus is that the bottle is bigger than most eye drop bottles so it will last longer even with heavy use.

Helps control dry eyes
I suffer from dry eyes and this was one of the drops my eye doctor recommended as a "maintenance" drop, applying at least 2-3 times a day to prevent dryness. I think it does a wonderful job - it helps keep the dryness under control and doesn't let it get too bad. It is pricey for a fairly small bottle of eye drops, but I would rather pay the $32 for these every month and a half to two months than have to pay over $100 for an even smaller bottle of prescription steroid eye drops.

Leaves my eyes less irritated and refreshed!
I had LASIK surgery about 1 1/2 weeks ago and FreshKote is one of the eye drops that I have to continue using for a couple months post op. I have to put in drops 4x a day. Overall, I like FreshKote a lot. It is one of the few eyes drops that makes my eyes feel less irritated, wet, and lubricated. I haven't had any trouble with caking of the eyelashes or eye crust that some people might be facing. The only issue I might have with the product is the pricing. $35 for a bottle of eye drops was a little jarring. Nevertheless, it really helps with dry, irritated eyes.

Burned my Wallet and my Eyes
This burned my eyes, badly. (Reading other reviews, I see I'm not the only one.) It wasn't stinging, followed by relief, as some describe: two hours later, my eyes were drier than ever. Thanks to FreshKote's advertised ability to "adhere to the dry areas of the eye", I got no relief until I flushed my eyes with saline solution. My eyes were even more dry and irritated than "normal" for days afterwards. Some people think this is the best thing ever. For me, it was worse than useless, and overpriced to boot.I don't know what ingredient caused the burning, but it does contain ethanol, AKA rubbing alcohol. It is preserved with Polixetonium, which FreshKote's website claims "exhibits extremely low ocular irritancy compared to Benzalkonium Chloride" (which is like bragging it's much less toxic than Mercury). For what it's worth, NIH (at toxnet) warns Polixetonium Chloride can cause skin, eye and respiratory irritations. Many people do find this stuff helpful. If you are truly desperate for something that works (I was), and want to place an expensive bet on this (I did), have saline solution handy to flush your eyes in case you have a bad reaction. Slight stinging that goes away quickly is fine; sustained burning and irritation probably means you are sensitive to an ingredient in this product and should discontinue use.

Say goodbye to your eyelashes!
I just had lasik and although I never have had a problem with dry eyes, It was required by my doctor to take this FreshKote for at least the first month and then at least daily going forward. This stuff creates a dry residue that cause your eyelashes to stick together and harden. Thus making them fall out or very fragile to touch. This may not effect most people, but I have very long and full eyelashes and its a PITA. Now that my month is over after lasik, I have switched to Systane Ultra. Works just as well without me loosing my lashes. If your on the fence, I would try Systane Ultra first and if that does nto provide adequate lubrication, then try these. My eyes never really got dry, but for some reason it would sting ever so often putting them in. Although for just a second, it was a little weird. The doctor said that as long as the stinging wasnt longer than a few seconds, it was fine.
