I purchased My First 1000 Words to read with my 17-month-old son, and it has quickly become one of our favorite books. He absolutely loves flipping through the pages, and I love that we’re spending quality time together while helping him build his vocabulary.The book is filled with clear, detailed pictures alongside the written word, making it easy for little ones to connect objects with their names. It covers an impressive variety of topics, including the alphabet (with an object for each letter), numbers, colors, shapes, opposites, foods, animals, transportation, people at work, music, and so much more. It’s obvious a lot of thought went into creating a book that introduces young children to a wide range of everyday words and concepts.One of our favorite ways to use this book is for me to ask my son to find different objects on each page. He lights up with pride every time he finds the right one, and it’s so rewarding to watch his confidence grow. We can easily spend 30 minutes looking through the 89 pages together because there’s always something new to point out, talk about, and learn.The book itself is a great size—about the size of a large magazine—which makes the pictures easy for little eyes to see. The pages are regular paper rather than thick board book pages, so I would recommend reading it together with younger toddlers until they’re old enough to turn the pages gently.Overall, this is a fantastic educational book that encourages learning through play and interaction. My son and I both genuinely enjoy reading it together, and I highly recommend it to any parent or caregiver looking to expand a young child’s vocabulary in a fun, engaging way!

Pretty good, and we are getting a lot out of it. The pages are cheap but okay. Most pages are good and have tons of great words and pictures. Not a huge fan of the facial expression page and "people at work". Would rather have seen more objects.

My daughter love this book! & I love it too. I love that she loves to read this book together (most of the time she will not let me read the book) but this book is different.I get to ask her what each item is and practice with her and sometimes she asks me too because she wants to know the items on there that she's not too familiar with.Some of the images, they put an overly complicated word when they could have name them a simpler version. However, I just say it the easiest was possible if its a little too complicated for a 2 year old. Other than that, there's many different words and pictures to choose. All from different types of people, baker, fire fighter, etc, to color, toys, & different types of musical instruments, food, etc.

We love this book! The pictures and words sparked interest and fun. My daughter received it at age 3, and we all enjoyed it for years. It was a good tool to sit with her and read and go over the pages together, and talk about it. I purchased this book again for the next generation, for my little cousins ages: 5, 3,& 6 months.
