This is how all cat trees should be made! Highly, highly recommend!!!
There is nothing to dislike about this product. It is exceptional in every way. It has literally saved our cats from being rehomed. I have three cats, two which are big overweight bruisers that tear up everything. Every cat tree in the past has been trashed in a week or less. They are vicious chewers and scratchers that destroy rugs, drywall, tear apart scratching posts, even unscrew tree house attachments like perches, and weigh so much their fat butts ruin all possible hampers or hoop beds. We had tried everything to entertain or reduce boredom and to prevent our cats from shredding everything we own. Nothing has survived their aggressive behaviors until we found Big Nose products. We purchased two of these units and the accompanying Big Nose Condo as we have a small laundry room which is the cat's 'time out' area whenever they destroy yet another curtain or piece of furniture in our home. Their behavior has gotten so destructive that we were borderline ready to turn them over to an animal shelter since they refused to rehabilitate with their destructive behaviors. Big Nose saved them! Let me tell you what's so terrific about the Big Nose products! Solid, well built structures with superb quality products like the very thick, smoothly polished steps. The middle heavy duty jute covered central supports that connect everything together is exactly as advertised, extremely heavy duty durable jute that does not fall apart or unravel or even 'fuzz' with constant sharp claws attacking it. Our last cat tree the jute was literally raked off and falling apart after only a few 'scratchings'. The Big Nose unit is incredibly simple to put together with lots of extra support brackets to keep it well attached to ANY wall. I say ANY, because not everyone has a 2 x 4 wall to access for attaching things, and with big burly 20 lb cats like my two boys, they need super solid support. These cats literally RACE UP cat trees and leap from top to bottom like maniacs which destroyed cat tree ladders, and the lower portions quickly became wobbly and fell apart. My cats love to chase each other. Imagine 40+ pounds of crazy cat hugeness leaping and climbing and chasing and ravaging a unit in their playful moments (which is 24/7, especially at night). Nothing lasts with these two big guys. Big Nose units are incredibly quiet! Did I say quiet? You betcha!!! Our laundry room is directly beside the master bedroom. In the past there would be entire nights of things slamming against walls, cat trees crashing to the floor, along with other items they could drag to the top before it fell apart. It sounded like World War III and nobody could sleep. Not anymore. We are pleased to announce not a sound at night, despite these rough-necking critters still racing, climbing, chasing one another all night long. We have had the unit up for over a week now and you cannot tell it's even been used, holding it's shape beautifully. It also saves tons of space compared to bulky cat houses. All three cats sleep and rest on this unit that is floor to ceiling, with the matching condo to the right side for them to jump into, and they absolutely love it. They play hide and seek, find a big comfy hoop to rest in which is so sturdy their fatness does not bend them down like past hoops on houses, and love to simply stroll up and down from top to bottom and sneak up on one another. I would give this 10 stars if I could. Better yet, the way it is put together, since Big Nose sells additional replacement parts, we would simply take it apart and replace anything that was worn or damaged, but we can assure you, the durability is so great it's unlikely we will ever need to do that. Instead we will keep buying future units and adding until we have an amazing maze created to keep these bad boys busy. Oh by the way, they are no longer interested in running the house. It's not nearly as much fun as their Big Nose tree. We highly, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this unit for all owners of difficult and destructive cats. You won't regret it!!!

My cats love this and it fit perfectly where I needed it to go
I installed this inside my window sill and it tucks behind the curtain well. They are indoor only cats so the high perch and hammock give them really good views of what’s going on outside. I live in a small space so this was a game changer. They jump off of it and play and scratch and it’s holding up just fine with both of them on there!

favorite perch!
As you can see from the pics, my 14+ pounder absolutely adores his new perch and climber. I "upholstered" the wooden "steps" so he'd have a surefooted landing pad on each (the bare wood seems like it would be a bit slippery to allow as-is, esp when you have the climber high on the wall as I do). He gets up there from the top of a tall scratcher, and then heads to his favorite part, the "crows nest" basket up top. Stays there for hours at a time, several times a day. His favorite perch by far, and I have several window sills and other comfy places available for this purpose. 100% happy with this purchase (and Valentino even more so).My only question here is this ... that crows nest basket. hmmmmmmm If you look at pic no. 2 it's sagging *considerably* with kitty in it. Seems OK/sturdy enough for this, and my big boy easily curls himself into a circle and sleeps there quite contentedly. However, for long term use, is this OK? I'm not sure what the "armature" is made of (metal of some sort, or plastic - hard to tell trying to feel through the fleece fabric) but I'm hoping with the heavy use its getting with a larger cat that it doesn't just give/snap off at some point. That would be an obvious disaster to spring on a sleeping cat.Manufacturer? Have some advice here? Perhaps a stronger/more stiff armature inside the basket piece would prevent this from happening. I'm going to see if I can find a more sturdy piece to use here, cuz obviously my boy loves this amenity, but I don't want to have to be constantly worrying over whether it's going to hold up long term, or not.Other than that, I can highly recommend this purchase. Easy to put together and install on the wall, quality materials (the one caveat being the basket structure ... ? Time will tell.), great perch AND scratcher! all at a good price.

Used frequently
We installed this climber in a spot that provides our cat greater access to other high up locales. We keep toys in the bucket and often place treats on the shelves so she has to work a little. It's sturdy enough that she is very comfortable jumping several feet up to it and using it as a ladder to climb higher. The platforms are a nice size. We put ours in a corner, and it was nice to have some flexibility on shelf direction. Recommend.

Instant hit for both of us!
Instructions were easy to follow, all hardware included (including wall anchors), instant hit with my kitty. The fabric bed bends a little bit when he gets in it, but the frame is sturdy. He’s only 8 lbs so I’m not too worried about jt.

Very good for medium to small cats
sturdy after i drilled it into a stud but the platforms could be a bit bigger and come with a metal plate to keep them firm. overall a good product i would buy again though.

Mounted near a window and our two cats love it.
This wall mount unit was easy to put together and easy to mount with a drill right into stud. We ordered an extra shelf for the very top and have it level with our window so our two cats could perch and look out. It took a little configuring between the shelves and hammock to get it right. Our only complaint and the reason I'm docking a star, is that the hammock could not even support one of our medium-sized cats without sagging. We ended up ordering a dark grey Fish&Nap Hammock which went right on to this tree without a hitch. And it's strong enough to hold our cats without bending. We also covered each platform with thick felt which I cut down from an inexpensive felt placemat/coaster set purchased on amazon. All fastened to the platform with strong velcro strips specifically made for fabrics. A little bit a DIY and the tree is perfect.

Excellent and cats approve
Really strong, doesn't wobble at all and the little bed is bigger than on most cat trees. The shelves aren't big enough for an adult cat to lie down and sleep on, might be suitable for a kitten, but they're strong enough to hold our fattest boy as he climbs around between other things. We've added carpet to the shelves to increase grip and are looking forward to adding more sections to the tree later. If you're mounting it near the ceiling make sure to leave enough space to screw the post in from the top. And follow everyone's advice and fix one bracket at a time! You'll need to add and remove a few pieces as you put it up, bit of a faff but worth it. Great product for the money.

Great product!
It had 3 braces where I only expected 2, making it very sturdy. Good size, great quality, and my cats love it! You can tinker with how to put it together in what order which is great for fitting your needs. (As you can see I have mine slightly differently from how it's shown) Being able to adjust it forward or back a bit helped more than I expected it to. I wish the material for the 'scoop' bed could come off for ease of machine washing though. But that might not affect everyone, I just have messy cats!
