Amazon Basics Banded Bathroom Bath Rug Mat - 20 x 31 Inch, Grey, Pack of 4

This was exactly what I expected, which makes it perfect for us. The listing clearly states it’s a towel-type mat, and it is indeed. A thick type, and the inner ‘border’ does a lot to class it up. I have a situation where one door is too close to the floor so I couldn’t use a “real” bath mat. This fits perfectly in that situation and does what I wanted. Stitching is sturdy and even, no folds, lumps, skips, or flaws. The material is a nice, soft cotton. It’s easier to wash and dry than a rubber-backed mat. I do dry it on medium heat so it doesn’t shrink. Has good thick loops so is great at sucking up the water, and dries a lot more quickly than rubber-backed does. Excellent color, too, very rich (I’d call it more cobalt than navy, though). I’m good about updating if anything pops up. Any questions, feel free to comment or email.

I wash our bath mats with our towels each week which means they should be not only absorbent but also sturdy and durable. I have been using the mats that match my BBB towels, but one was terribly stained and one tore, leaving me with two where I needed 4-5. I tried this out because the reviews were good and Amazon could deliver so quickly. I love it so much I just ordered two more. They are beautiful, stark white and quite plump - much thicker than the wamsutta I had been using. It’s almost like a bath rug but with the simplicity and washability of a mat. So glad I found this. It is great quality at a great price.

This is exactly what it is supposed to be - a bath mat. If you are looking for something with a rubber backing that will cover your whole floor, search for "bath rug." These are getting hard to find in stores and so I was glad to see this. I have washed and dried it once and it came through very well. I will order another to keep for later. It's big for a bath mat and thick/absorbent enough to keep the floor dry. It isn't deeply plush, but it is soft. The descriptive title "basic" is accurate. It looks well made. I wish it came in more colors. If anyone at Amazon is listening, a nice hunter green would be appreciated :)

I had an old bathmat that I loved. It was 100% cotton, thick and luxurious, I'd had it for a long time, and it was still in great condition, until one of my cats found it and loved it to death. I'd replaced it a couple of times, but was never happy with the mats I found. I figured I was out of luck, it was probably one of those things, like toasters, that aren't made like they used to be. Well, I'm happy to report that this mat is a duplicate of my old one. Maybe even nicer. It's very thickly woven, so it feels substantial, not flimsy. It feels like it will last forever. Unless one of the cats gets ahold of it! Maybe I should buy another one just in case. I'm glad to know that Amazon Basics are such high quality. Some people have mentioned the lack of a non slip backing. I don't know about others, but I don't use this as a rug in the bathroom. I have a tile floor, and I place it on the floor to step on when I come out of the shower, and when I'm done, I hang it over the side of the tub until next time. To me, that's the way a bath mat is used, not as a rug, so I'm not concerned about a lack of non slip backing.

Some reviewers have complained that "this is a towel," in other words, it has no non-skid backing, but I wanted this type of bathmat because it's easier to wash & dry. It's hard to find this kind of basic bathmat with no non-skid backing. It's fine if you step out of the shower or bathtub carefully, and there are no young children, elderly or handicapped people in the home. The bathmat is very heavyweight and good quality. I like the deep navy blue color; it's a nice contrast in my pale pink bathroom, and doesn't show dirt. It would be good if it came in more colors; there are only a few colors available, like white, black, and gray. Gray towels / bathmats seem to be in vogue right now but I don't find them appealing at all.

I replaced 4 Pinzon bath mats of the same size that wore out on their edges after years of washing. The fields were still heavy and excellent, but after years of perfection the hems "melted" away as fluff rather rapidly. The Pinzon mats were no longer available, so I replaced them with these. Very similar in size and thickness, The AmazonBasics are a little lighter so they dry faster which means they should wear more slowly on their hems. They fold nicely and lay flat, but not quite as smoothly flat as the Pinzon. After quite a few washes, I have examined the hems under magnification and I believe they will last at least as long as the Pinzon version. They produce less lint in the drier, although I cannot provide quantitative evidence of this.

I really love this bathmat. I was looking for something thin that I could place in front of my shower but also not keep the door from opening and closing. It fits perfectly under the door and looks great. I love the royal navy blue color, it's so nice and vibrant. I loved the color so much I bought the same towel set. It was all quality products at a great price.

Nothing special. It’s a simple bath mat that has the thickness of a thinner bath towel. It’s fairly absorbant, and works well in place of a rug in our small bathrooms. We need to plane down our doors so a bath mat will fit under them, but these are filling in for now.

For various reasons my requirements for a bathroom mat mean that I need one which is cotton (without a non-slip backing), highly absorbent and that will dry reasonably quickly. This one fits the bill. I bought this mat to replace an old mat of a similar type. While my wet feet tended to stick to the old mat which, still sticking to my feet, was then lifted when I moved around, I find that this new one hardly sticks to my feet at all. One problem I have found with this type of mat is that they do not machine wash well in that they often will not spin-dry. I have decided therefore that I will hand-wash this mat. A nuisance, I know, but I do not like to risk damaging my washing machine by washing too heavy items.
