I've been looking for a good set of metric hex drill bits that I can use with a hand held torque wrench for rifle scopes and mounts. These drill bits fit the bill perfectly. They are obviously of high quality steel and the long shank really helps get into tough areas that a hex key on a ring just cant get to.The drill bit set came in a nice small plastic case so it's easy to keep them organized. Even the Dewalt pack of SAE drill bits I bought just came in "bubble wrap" and cardboard and they just get separated and lost in the bottom of my tool case drawer.Probably one of the best features is that they are magnetic which is great when I'm working on a small scope screw and it drops - the magnetic bits keep it from falling on the ground and potentially becoming lost.I've been very pleased with this set and would recommend it to anybody looking for a good quality metric hex drill bit set at a pretty reasonable price point. Oddly, it was very easy to find SAE bit sets but it was kind of difficult to find a metric set. With all the IKEA type furniture out there that needs assembly you would think metric sets would be more widely available than they are. These kind of bits are perfect for that sort of thing - cut your assembly time literally in half or better.

When I was initially looking, I was looking for a single bit. Then I saw this set and decided to get two. They seem to be fairly good quality and they work and fit properly. Got a driver for $1.25 from the local dollar store and that makes a small, compact hex key set for the emergency repair kit. I also bought the SAE (inch) set.

I haven't had the chance to use them yet but these bits look good, and the storage case is a nice touch. I took off one star for the way these are described, they are NOT drill bits but Allen driver bits. This was very confusing when I was searching and had it not been for the picture showing what they really are I would have passed them over. Someone needs to correct this in their labeling.

I bought these particularly for the smaller sizes because I am tired of assembling and working on my 3D printers with L-shaped allen wrenches. My AnyCubic Chinese printers came with all the necessary sizes and they have worked perfectly for well over a year's worth of tightening and loosening tiny fasteners. I did not even get through four 2.5mm screws before this size bit rounded and spun in the hex heads.They are painted nicely and the sizes clearly marked. Very nice looking - until you use them. The paint chipped off immediately so in addition to not working, they no longer looked good either. Why do I mention this? Maybe you would be happy with just the larger sizes working (a little rounding of the edges wouldn't matter so much), but they will chip too and you won't want that junk in your tool box.Check out the picture and judge for yourself!

How can this possibly get good reviews. Havent used every bit in set, but the 3 mm, i use the most on medical equipment, is not 3mm. So will have to buy another brand or dig out old set. Meanwhile I have to use an angle allen instead of a screw motor when it counts. I don’t even care about the paint chipping off the tips. Just wanted the tool to do the job. But it’s pretty out of the box.

good value, clearly marked and EZ to read sizing, handy holder, very useful and versatile compared to traditional "L-Key" wrench indexes that have bulky carriers.I constantly set the regular L wrench down somewhere and then have look for next time. This Hex key group stays in my tool pocket with my "Y" bit-holder.Good tool, good Deal !!

So these work, with caveats -The sizing is rough, meaning the 5mm measures 5.2mm due to the paint coating, whereas a typical Bondhus or Park 5mm measure 4.8mm. Result - tool don't fit fastener without a hammer.Hard wire wheel on grinder removes the paint, then they measure correctly & work well.Suggestion for mfgr - coat these with black oxide instead of paint, should solve problem.

I am a gunsmith. I have not actually used the bits for any work yet. So all I can really say isthey look like a quality product. The finish is perfect. The size is marked on each bit.The storage case is real nice and not a cheap flimsy item. I would expect the case to lasta long time. It will not take up much room in my tool cabinet.
